vit b12 for vegans

Vit b12 for vegans: simple ways to boost it.

Vit b12 for vegans

Vit b12 for vegans is a must! As vitamin b12 is hard to include in your vegan diet because it isn’t in any plants, we need to track how much we get in our diet daily to ensure we aren’t skipping it. I will be exploring the following questions;

  • How do vegans get vitamin B12?
  • What vegan foods are high in vitamin B12?
  • Why do vegans lack B12?
  • Do vegans take B12 supplements?
  • Why Do I Need Vitamin B12 as a Vegan?
  • What Happens If I Don’t Get Enough Vitamin B12?
  • What is vegan B12 made from?

I hope to learn more about vitamin b12 to improve my daily intake and educate myself on how vitamin b12 works in our body. The Idea of this post is to create awareness of how to keep healthy as a vegan. I hope it will help you to learn how to add vitamin b12 into your diet as well, and I will share with you some meal ideas of how I add my vitamin b12 supplements.

Vit b12 for vegans: simple ways to boost it – How do vegans get vitamin B12?

Vit b12 for vegans is usually added to vegan products to ensure that vegans have it included in their diet. My own personal way of adding vit b12 into my diet is by adding nutritional yeast flakes, which are high in b12 and Iron, to my meals. Nutritional yeast is usually a nutty, cheesy flavour, so I like to add it to my vegan cheesy mash potato. I sometimes add it to a vegan cheesy tomato and garlic pasta. Here is a quick list of links to organic nutritional yeast flakes that have vit b12:

Another way is by using a vit b12 oral spray, which is also quite a popular choice. Here is a link to a vit b12 oral spray. You just simply do a couple of sprays onto the inside of your cheek in your mouth. The spray usually is flavoured, I had an orange one myself, and it was a nice taste. I usually just have the yeast flakes these days.

What vegan foods are high in vitamin B12?

Here are some vegan foods that contain or have had vit b12 added to them:

Vegan Sources of Vitamin B12:

  • Nutritional Yeast.
  • Marmite + Yeast Spreads.
  • Fortified Soy + Almond Milk.
  • Plant-Based Meats.
  • Fortified Cereals.
  • Tempeh.
  • Chlorella.
  • Nori Seaweed

I wanted to add that even though plant-based meats have vit b12 in them, they are usually highly processed and unhealthy, so I do not recommend adding these to your daily diet. Just because it has vitamin b12 on the packaging doesn’t mean that it’s healthy.

Why do vegans lack B12?

Vit b12 for vegans is the most well-known vitamin that vegans seem to miss out on. However, I find this curious as the YouTube video above suggests that Vit b12 doesn’t come from animals but from the earth’s natural soil. Due to humans adapting to hygiene, we have cleaned the b12 off the vegetables we consume, and they can only have vit b12 through supplements.

However, when researching other sources, multiple articles say Vit b12 is found in meat. This has left me feeling a little unclear. Still, the animals humans eat are herbivores that eat vegetation from unwashed soil, so they consume vitamin b12, which is absorbed into their bodies. When humans consume meat, they also absorb the Vit b12 from the meat the animal originally absorbed. This is just my theory, but it isn’t a fact. This is why meat eaters don’t need to take vitamin b12 supplements, as they are eating animals that contain vitamin b12.

Do vegans take B12 supplements?

Vit b12 for vegans is usually in supplement form; I have linked some supplements above via affiliate links. You can get Vit b12 supplements from most health shops such as Holland and Barrett; you can get them in tablet form, oral spray, plant milk and yeast flakes.

Yes, vegans do need to take vit b12 supplements as vit b12 is found in soil, but the plants we eat nowadays don’t contain vit b12 as they used to because of humans advancing in hygiene. Vegans need to take vitamin b12 supplements because vegans don’t eat meat which can contain vitamin b12.

Why Do I Need Vitamin B12 as a Vegan? And What Happens If I Don’t Get Enough Vitamin B12?

Vit b12 for vegans is hard to get naturally; if you don’t take vit b12 supplements in your daily diet, you will experience vitamin b12 deficiency. Your body will produce large blood cells that won’t function properly. No vit b12 in the body can cause numbness, depression and anxiety and affects blood flow and muscle weakness.

How much B12 should a vegan take?

vit b12 for vegans

Is 1000 mcg of b12 enough for vegans? All vegans should take 250 mcg daily or take a weekly supplement of 2000 mcg. Most supplements in health shops are the best b12 supplement for vegans; you can choose which way you can take the supplement, whether it’s mixed with food or as a spray.

You can check out the links for different vitamin b12 recommendations that I have listed above.

What is vegan B12 made from?

Vitamin b12 is made from bacteria that are found in soil. The bacteria is a healthy bacteria that is essential for us to function. It is good for your blood cells, which help get oxygen around your body needed for healthy function.

Is methylcobalamin vegan

Yes, methylcobalamin is vegan, as it is just vitamin b12. This was also mentioned in the YouTube video mentioned above. If you take vitamin b12 in capsule form, it should say methylcobalamin in the ingredients on the bottle.

Methylcobalamin (vit b12) is a bacteria found in soil that is essential for our overall health. I have mentioned above in the previous heading how the bacteria works in our body to contribute to our overall health.

Conclusion

Vit b12 for vegans: simple ways to boost it – we have learnt what supplements you can take and how much you can take daily and/or weekly. We have learnt why it is essential to take vitamin b12 and what happens to our bodies when we don’t take it. We have also known where vitamin b12 comes from and how meat eaters include it in their diet. We have also leant what is another name for vitamin b12 and if it is suitable for a vegan diet.

There are no vitamin b12 vegetables and fruits, so we have learnt that they must be supplemented. Where does vitamin b12 come from naturally? We now know that it is naturally found in the ground.

I hope you have enjoyed this post, and I hope you have learnt something new from this post. If you are vegan, I hope it made you aware of the importance of having vitamin b12 in your diet.

arnold schwarzenegger plant based diet

Arnold schwarzenegger plant based diet is simply the best for anyone looking to begin a plant-based diet. The inspiration for this post is the news that the Netflix show ‘The Game Changers’ are getting a sequel. Arnald was in this documentary and spoke about his opinion on the vegan diet and that he is currently on a plant based diet.

I would like to explore the following for Arnold Schwarzenegger plant based diet:

  • What does Arnold Schwarzenegger eat on a plant-based diet?
  • Does Arnold Schwarzenegger eat plant based?
  • Is Arnold Schwarzenegger on a vegan diet?
  • How long was Arnold Schwarzenegger vegan?

Arnald Schwarzenegger Plant based diet

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Plantaardig Dieet |The Game Changers | Netflix – YouTube
Arnold schwarzenegger plant based diet

In ‘The Game Changers’ documentary Arnold Schwarzenegger talks about how he had a meat-heavy diet in his body-building days but realised that was the wrong way to go about it. He was taught that strong and tough men should eat meat to be the strongest. He knows now that this is not the case and has taken on a mostly vegan diet as he learnt that the plant-based diet gives you more strength. He still, however, eats eggs for protein.

What does Arnold Schwarzenegger eat on a plant-based diet?

He claims his diet is about 80% vegan but still has eggs, chicken and salmon as a protein source. For plant-based protein, he has legumes, lentils and veggie burgers. I have written a rough arnold schwarzenegger diet plan pdf which you can download here. Feel free to adjust the recipes to suit your goals.

Is arnold schwarzenegger vegetarian?

He isn’t quite vegetarian he claims to be mostly vegan but just occasionally has eggs, salmon and chicken. It sounds to me he is more of a flexitarian. You can check out some arnold schwarzenegger recipes in the pdf plan that I have linked above. |

Arnold Schwarzenegger plant based diet Conclusion

To conclude. Arnal schwarzenegger plant based diet is simply the best for anyone just starting out in the vegan world as we have leant that he isn’t 100% vegan but avoids meat most of the time. This can be a great way for you to ease your way into a vegan diet.

I have definitely learnt more about Arnold today from in depth research instead of just seeing the most common searches like “is arnold schwarzenegger married now” for example, It was interesting to learn about his changed views on the body building diet even just reading articles such as “arnold schwarzenegger diet 2022”. I hope you have learnt something new from this post about Arnold Schwarzenegger plant based diet as well and that it has inspired you to try a vegan diet or even eat like Arnold.

Does singing reduce anxiety?

Does singing reduce anxiety? My easy guide.

Does singing reduce anxiety?

I was diagnosed with anxiety at the age of thirteen; my medical records say that I suffer from severe panic attacks. I have had a passion for singing since I was nine. I want to share my experience of dealing with anxiety and how singing has impacted my anxiety.

We will be discussing the following:

  • Does singing calm you down?
  • Is singing good for Mental Health?
  • Why do I feel better when I sing?
  • Why does music make my anxiety go away?

Does singing reduce anxiety?

Yes, singing does reduce anxiety. You don’t have to go and buy expensive vocal lessons or have to go out in public and perform on stage to reduce anxiety. You can just pull up a karaoke version of a song you love and just have a sing-along. I would recommend doing a five-minute vocal warm-up at least before singing just to protect your voice.

Singing releases stress as it encourages you to control your breathing which is the best way to reduce anxiety when you feel anxious. It also helps as a good distraction from what you are feeling anxious about; this is because you get lost in the story of your favourite song and just enjoy the moment.

Does singing calm you down?

During my personal battle with anxiety, I used singing to pull me out of my nightmare reality and into my wonderful world of singing. While singing, I used to daydream that I was the character in the song I was singing and performing in my bedroom like I was starring in a film. I know this sounds embarrassing, and it would be awful if a family member walked in mid-performance (luckily, that never happened). However, my family knew I loved to sing, so they would usually not disturb me.

My story about anxiety developed when I was 13 years old. I didn’t understand what mental health was or what was happening to me. All I knew was my heart was beating loudly in my ears, pins and needles began in my hands and shot up and down both arms. I had no control over my hands; I could not close my fingers or grasp anything, no matter how hard I tried. Black splodges and blobs floated before my eyes, so I couldn’t see anything. My breathing became rapid and shallow. It was like on every inhale, my body wasn’t taking in any oxygen; it felt like suffocation. You believe you are dying. As I stared at the ceiling feeling like it was closing in on me, I was experiencing a panic attack.

At the time, Panic attacks meant nothing to me; mental health was for the insane. This is what I believed as a 13-year-old. I believed I just had a stomach bug or something. I couldn’t believe that your brain is evil enough to make you feel something physical, even though there is nothing there. How can something that physically cripples me briefly be caused by something in my mind? How is this feeling all in my head?

During this confusing time, singing was my escapism. I enjoyed the confidence boost, and the heavy anxiety disappeared for a few moments. Sometimes singing isn’t a strong enough distraction by itself. If you suffer from severe anxiety, then I would try playing an instrument whilst singing, like a guitar or piano, as this will also keep your hands busy, making it almost impossible to zone out and think about what is causing you anxiety in the first place.

Is singing good for Mental Health?

Why I Sing for Wellbeing |Jude Taylor |TEDxRoyalCentralSchool

Singing has been proven to improve your mental health by releasing happy chemicals in your brain, such as dopamine, serotonin and endorphins. As said previously in the video above, singing is also fun, which is also a feel-good factor and can increase your confidence which will improve how you feel in your day-to-day life. Singing can be like a workout because it’s very physical; exercise has proven to also help your mental health. Singing also is a very heavy breathing technique orientated, which is like meditating, which is another healthy mental health benefit as it can lower your blood pressure.

Here are a few books that I recommend for the benefits of singing:

Conclusion

Why do I feel better when I sing? From this post, we now know that we feel better due to the release of endorphins, and it releases tension in your body, which overall reduces anxiety. There is even singing therapy for anxiety. I hope this post gives you the inspiration to start singing for your own benefit, as there are no bad side effects of singing, only spiritual benefits of singing and physical benefits. I hope you will experience the joy of including singing in your daily routine and have the benefits of singing everyday. If singing in your bedroom isn’t for you and you need more motivation and something to work towards whilst singing, then I would recommend looking into joining a choir and learning about the health benefits of singing in a choir. Does singing reduce anxiety? We now know that the answer to this question is yes, and I hope you have learnt something new from this post and have taken away some positivity about how to deal with anxiety in a healthy manner. Feel free to check out the books I have linked above.

Feel free to take a look at the above cookbooks and choose one that feels like it would be suitable for your health and weight loss goals.

What can you eat low-carb vegan?

Vegan Keto – Vegan Keto For Beginners

Using the foods from the low carb vegan foods list listed above, what recipes can we make from these foods to maintain our keto diet?

As you know from the video, keto vegans can eat nuts. Nuts have lots of protein, and they are full of healthy fats. You can make delicious cashew cheese and add walnuts to your pesto recipes. Peanuts are also great for recipes; you can make delicious peanut sauces which I have mentioned in my previous post. Just like the chia seed pudding will be a great high protein, low carb breakfast.

Also mentioned in the video are olives and avocados; you can make a delicious pesto to flavour your salad using olives, garlic, basil and olive oil, which I have also mentioned in my previous post. You can use most plant-based oils, which provide your body with healthy fats. The video above lists healthy oils; I use coconut and olive oil which are low in carbs.

You can have tofu which will fill you up; it is also high in protein. You can marinate firm tofu in a peanut butter sauce or a pesto made from avocado or spinach, or green olives and mix it in a salad with some beetroot which is also low in carbs.

You could make a homemade curry as coconut milk is also low in carbs; you can use garlic, tofu, turmeric, and many other spices to make a homemade curry.

low carb vegan snacks

For a savoury snack, you can have courgette crisps. Courgettes are very low in carbs, and so is apple cider vinegar. Simply bake the crisp-shaped sliced courgette on baking paper in a baking tray. Lightly spread some coconut or olive oil on the courgette. Bake the courgette until crispy, which may take about twenty minutes. You can add apple cider vinegar to the crisps as apple cider vinegar is also low carb and is great for weight loss.

You can make your own low-carb, high protein, protein bars at home using three low-carb ingredients. Use coconut flour, soy milk, and vegan protein powder; I would add peanut butter or hazelnut butter if you want extra protein. You can make these protein bars by lining a baking tray with paper. Mix one cup of flour with two cups of protein powder and half a cup of soy milk, and if you are adding it, Add half a cup of nut butter. Mix these ingredients until a thick batter is formed. Spread the mixture evenly on the baking paper and place the baking tray in the fridge for 30 mins. You can cut the mixture into bar shapes after being in the fridge.

What vegan food has protein but no carbs?

We have learnt above that tofu, and peanut butter has high protein and low carbs. When researching keto recipes, those ingredients came up the most.

How many carbs a day vegan?

Vegans seem to have a reputation for only eating salads for their meals, and they don’t get all their nutrients or essential calories. This is not true! It’s easy for a vegan to exceed their carb count even on a keto diet. A vegan on the keto diet should aim to have 35 grams of carbs or less. That is the goal.

High carb vegan foods

You already know what is on the low carb vegan foods list, but what about the high-carb vegan foods list? You need to know what foods can push you over your daily vegan car carb goal.

vegan vs vegetarian vs flexitarian

The best simple guide to Vegan vs Vegetarian vs Flexitarian in 2023 made easy

vegan vs vegetarian vs flexitarian

Vegan vs vegetarian vs flexitarian, what is the difference? I’ll be writing from a vegan diet experience, the information about vegetarian and flexitarian will be from my research, and I will be learning along with you.

We will also be looking at the following:

  • What is flexitarian vs pescatarian?
  • What are the 4 main types of vegetarian?
  • What does a flexitarian eat?
  • What is vegetarian vs vegan vs pescetarian?

I want to discover the pros and cons of each diet and what the facts of research and experience decide which is the healthiest diet.

Vegan vs vegetarian vs flexitarian

The majority of the human race are omnivores, but there is an increase in vegan and vegetarianism. The less common one is Flexitarian. What is a Flexitarian? A Flexitarian has a vegetarian diet the majority of the time. However, they do occasionally have meat.

So what is the healthiest out of the three? Of course, my biased response would be that vegans are the healthiest. After reading many books, watching many documentaries and researching veganism, I have more than enough information to say that being vegan is the most nutritious diet for human beings. Here are my reasons:

  • Humans have vegan anatomy. If you google.’ are humans meant to be vegan,’ it says, “We’re anatomically herbivorous
  • We have got the stomach acid to digest raw meat – If we were like any other animal that eats meat, our bodies would allow us to eat raw meat, but we have to cook our meat until it is cooked through, which no other omnivore in the animal kingdom has to do.
  • We can’t drink milk without it being cleaned. The milk we drink needs to be washed for it to be safe for us to drink. If we were meant to drink milk, don’t you think it would’ve been safe to eat it straight from the udder?
  • We’re evolved from herbivores. We came from Gorillaz, which Charles Darwin proved with evolution.
  • We have no anatomy designed for hunting, unlike omnivore animals like pigs with tusks to kill their prey or bears with sharp claws. Humans don’t have any lethal weapons to kill animals with.
  • Diseases. Ebola and Covid19 both derived from humans consuming animals. Ebola came from overfishing in Asian waters resulting in nearby islands running out of fish for themselves and resulting in them eating tropical animals from their area that aren’t meant to be eaten. The same goes for Covid-19; eating animals alive is a delicacy in China, so someone ate a bat that transferred covid-19 to that individual. You would think that nature is trying to tell us not to eat animals.
A Plant-Based Diet Changed My Life

What is flexitarian vs a pescatarian?

What does a flexitarian eat? Flexitarians will occasionally eat any meat. A pescatarian will only eat fish, dairy, fruit, veg, seeds, and nuts. They are both very similar in the way that they diet.

If you are on a pescatarian diet, you increase the danger of developing Mercury poisoning. Whereas a flexitarian diet still has the same risks as an omnivore, increasing the risk of diabetes, heart disease and cancer because they still consume dairy and meat.

In my eyes both will have the same health pros and cons.

What are the 4 main types of vegetarian?

The four main types of vegetarian diets are:

  • Flexitarian
  • Pescatarian
  • Lacto-ovo vegetarian
  • veganism

Flexitarian vs mediterranean diet

The meditarranean diet is considered a healthy diet as it consists of whole food such as grain, fruits and nuts, but fish and pultery is still consumed.

In some cases the mediterranean diet is heathier because of the whole foods but still doesn’t beat the vegan diet.

flexitarian diet food list:

  • Vegetables
  • Fruits
  • eggs
  • dairy products
  • legumes
  • Meat and poultry

Awesome raw vegan transformations: A simple raw vegan diet guide

Raw vegan transformations

If you are on a quest to transform your overall health and you need to see some amazing raw vegan transformations in order to peak your motivation. Then read on to see the best raw vegan transformations in 2023.

We will learn about the following:

  • What does raw vegan do to your body?
  • Are raw vegans healthier?
  • What happens if you go raw vegan for a week?
  • How long does it take to adjust to a raw vegan diet?

What is a raw vegan transformation?

raw vegan transformation

Raw vegan transformations are when a person goes on a completely raw vegan diet and records the body’s health progress, whether in body weight loss or just an overall increase in health, such as a boost in immunity and energy and just feeling way better than before.

A raw vegan diet is when you only eat uncooked plant-based foods. It doesn’t sound appealing but you’ll be surprised at what delicious recipes you can make.

The raw diet includes:

  • Raw seeds, nuts and legumes
  • raw vegetables
  • cold-pressed oils
  • juices
  • raw nut milk
How to eat a raw vegan diet

What does raw vegan do to your body?

What happens to your body when you transition to a raw vegan diet? You gain more vitamins and minerals as you consume more fruits and vegetables. Your daily fibre intake will skyrocket. You will lose weight to a healthy weight for your height and gender. And these are just some of the few raw vegan diet benefits.

A raw vegan diet will boost your immunity and save time and money on buying medicines and unwanted trips to the doctor.

Are raw vegans healthier?

The short answer is yes, raw vegans are healthier as they get all the natural nutrients from the plants they are eating because their food isn’t fried or cooked, which would normally reduce the nutrients that are naturally in the plant.

Raw vegans can reduce diabetes, as mentioned in the YouTube video above from her experience of being on a raw vegan diet after 16 years.

You should try the 21-Day Vegan Raw Food Diet plan: 75 Satisfying Recipes to Revitalise Your body to feel and see the health benefits for yourself.

What happens if you go raw vegan for a week?

Going raw vegan for a week is a good way of learning new recipes. Going raw vegan for a week will help cleanse your body of unhealthy additives.

I had a lecturer in Uni whose wife went on a raw vegan juicing for a week; she only ate fruit and veg juices at certain times of the day. His reasoning was to lose weight but she discovered some added benefits. Her skin looked amazing! It was so clear and bouncy, like she had a collagen injection in her face. She did also lose weight, so she has decided to stick to the raw vegan diet.

How long does it take to adjust to raw vegan diet?

It can take a couple of weeks for your tastebuds to adjust to the whole food flavours. The Western diet uses high sugar and salt that is added to foods, so when we taste whole-food meals, they will likely taste bland, but over the week or two, your taste buds will adjust and you’ll be able to taste the wonderful flavours of the whole fruit and veg.

It may take a little longer if you are transitioning from an animal-based diet to a fully raw vegan diet. I would start slowly by gradually swapping ingredients to whole plant-based ingredients or have one raw vegan meal for a few days and gradually add two meals, and so on. If you jump straight into it you can feel weak and dizzy.

Raw vegan transformations before and after

If you are looking for inspiration and motivation, I recommend looking at raw vegan transformations progress before and after. This would be a great habit to get into if you are trying to lose weight.

Raw vegan meal plan

To achieve your raw vegan transformations, I would recommend being prepared. Fail to prepare, prepare to fail. So what can you do for a meal plan?

For breakfast, for a sweet breakfast, you can have a smoothie. One of my favourite smoothies is a watermelon smoothie. I will say, though, they’re not very filling. I like watermelon and strawberries and add my Moon Balance supplement from Your Super.com for added nutrients. This is the sweetest smoothie that I have ever had.

For lunch, I would recommend a pesto salad, which is organic olives, Fresh basil, organic tomatoes, walnuts, olive oil, garlic, and organic and uncooked beetroot. You can mix butter beans to add protein and to help fill you up.

For Dinner, Portobello marinated mushroom burgers. Marinate the mushrooms in olive oil and liquid aminos for three hours in your dehydrator or oven at its lowest temperature (it’s still raw. It doesn’t get cooked). Do this until the mushrooms are soft and have darkened.

In the meantime, we can make the cashew cheese. Mix the 1 3/4 cups of cashews, 1/2 cup water, 1/3 cup of nutritional yeast, juice from one lemon, two garlic cloves, two tablespoons of miso, and salt to taste. Blend the cheese in a blender until smooth, and then place the cheese in a bowl lined with a cheesecloth and leave for at least two hours.

Once everything is ready, you can add the cheese to the mushrooms and your desired fillings; you could add tomatoes, lettuce, or marinated tofu.

So that is an example of one day of meal planning. You can find many raw vegan recipes online on Pinterest and YouTube.

Conclusion

I hope you have enjoyed this blog post about raw vegan transformations; we have learnt What does raw vegan do to your body? Are raw vegans healthier? What happens if you go raw vegan for a week? The game changers summary

Simple The game changers summary 2023: Empower your life

The Game Changers Summary

This post will give you a simple The Game Changers summary to fill you in on all the hype. The documentary is very successful on Netflix, and in vegan news, there appears to be a sequel in the making. If you haven’t seen The Game Changers yet, then go ahead and let it inspire you. Or you can dip your toe by watching the game changers trailer. The show features Cameron, Arnold Schwarzenegger jackie chan as fellow vegans.

This post will explore the following:

  • What is the summary of the Game Changer?
  • What is the main idea in Game Changer?
  • What is the most important thing you learned from watching the documentary movie The Game Changers?
  • Who is the main guy in game changers?

The Game Changers Summary

the game changers summary
The Game Changers Official trailer

The game changer netflix 2021 trailer gives a great brief, ‘The Game Changers Summary’, explaining how athletes switch to a vegan diet and their performance improves dramatically. The program goes into the science of veganism and explains what a plant-based diet does to our bodies.

It even explores how gladiators were so strong on just a plant-based diet. The documentary is a huge eye-opener and very inspiring.

The film synopsis: “James Wilks travels the world on a quest for the truth about meat, protein, and strength. Showcasing elite athletes, special ops soldiers, and visionary scientists to change how people eat and live.”

The game changers fact check

vegan protein

The Game Changers recieved a lot of critisim, this is expected as the meat industry makes millions of pounds so it is a huge part of the stock market. So it makes sense that companies that make money from meat want to nit pick and critisise vegan promoting documentaries. Articles also know that negative news gains more clicks and gains more traffic to their page so of course there are plenty of critising articles for The Game changer out there.

The first article I came across is ‘Healthline’ the first thing that stood out to me is “Many vegans without access to these resources struggle to get enough protein, vitamin B12, and other nutrients .” The way this is worded implies that anyone who isn’t an athlete or hasn’t got a lot of money cannot maintain a healthy vegan diet. This is Far from the truth! I am living proof that you can mantain a healthy vegna diet. I have been a vegan since I was 19 and I am 23 now. I haven’t suffered from any ill health from the diet.

The imgae below is my nutritional intake from the 3rd of June. You can see that I managed to obtain 43g of protein that day. The average women must have about 45g of protein a day. All I ate that day was peanut butter mixed in with gluten free oats, and I blended a tin of butter beans to make vegan cheese and dill pasta sauce. I always add nutritional yeast flakes to my food wich contain vitamin B12. You can buy nutritional yeast flakes cheap from suppermarkets. So the quote above is wrong it isn’t hard for non athlete vegans to get enough protein, vutamin B12 an other nutrients. You can even get iron from spinach, cabbage and kale which is very easy to add to your daily meals.

Bonus tip: to get thre most Iron from spinach, make a salad with raw spinach and drizzle lemon juice in the salad. Lemon juice helps your body to absob and digest the iron from the spinach and ensures that you gain as much nutrients from the vegetable as possible.

vegan daily nutrition
What is the main idea in Game Changer?

The main idea for The Game Changer or the game changers essay is to change the idea of how people view food and nutrion. The documentary is designed to make people understand that humans aren’t meant to eat eat meat and that it is actually sending people into an early grave.

You can watch The Game Changers on Amazon Prime Video Here if you sign up for the 30 day free trial.

Game changers athletes no longer vegan?

No Arnald, Lewis Hamilton, chan, Patrik Baboumian, James Wilkes and many more featured in the documentary are still vegan.

You can research James wilkes vegan recipes such as his overnight oats.

What is the most important thing you learned from watching the documentary movie The Game Changers? The Game Changers Summary

The game changers summary

From watching the documentary, I have learnt the importance of not consuming animal products is for our overall health. The documentary also highlights the importance of removing the stigma of eating a vegan diet makes you weak.

Who is the main guy in game changers?

Who is the main guy in game changers?

James wilkes is the main character in The Game Changer as it is about his quest to travel the world to learn about the truth of meat, protein and strength. Which is also The Game Changers summary.

Conclusion

I hope this post has inspired you to go and give The Games Changers documentary a watch now that you know The Game Changers summary. My inspiration begind this post was an article I had come across in vegan news that they are making a sequal for The Game Changers which is really exciting and proves that the documentary did so well. The sequal will be directed by Stephanie Soechtig and Kristin Lazure, who worked on Fed UpKnock Down the House, and The Devil We Know.

To conclude the message summary of The Game Changers is to educate people on the facts of veganism and to let people to decide on their own diet based on these facts. If you have enjoyed this post then please chech out my other posts below.

Epic ocean shores flooding: 5 amazing things we really need to stop it

Ocean shores flooding

As the ice caps are melting and adding more water to the ocean, the ocean levels rise, which will cause flooding on land. This will lead to catastrophic devastation as homes will be flooded and destroyed. Wildlife homes will also be destroyed, and lives will be lost.

So what can we do to stop the ocean shores flooding and destroying communities?

Five amazing things we really need to stop ocean shores flooding.

  1. We can build blood barriers to protect infrastructure and wildlife habitats.
  2. Become vegan – If humans become vegan, it will dramatically reduce global warming by slowing it down.
  3. Incorporate sea level rise into planning for new infrastructure.
  4. Donate to environmental charities, preferably ones that help with global warming.
  5. Relocate wildlife and infrastructure away from rising sea levels.

Following these strategies will make it safe to have a city of ocean shores. In the future, we should be able to appreciate ocean shores Washington and ocean shores country club in Australia and know we are safe.

Conclusion – why are ocean shores flooding?

So now we know why is coastal flooding happening? And what we can do to help prevent flooding and sea level rise. why do musicians die young

The best understanding Why do musicians die young? 2023

Why do musicians die young?

Why do musicians die young? Unfortunately, musicians tend to die young. We’ve all heard of the 27 Club, where famous musicians seemed to be coincidently dying once they reached 27. But why is that? Could it be due to drugs? The intense, jam-packed schedule that they have to stick to maintain their fame?

Why do musicians have long hair? And why do musicians make weird faces? We know that artists love to express themself, and rock ‘n roll artists tend to have long hair as part of the rock ‘n roll image. It looks good when they head bang, and also they pull weird faces when they are playing a part (usually on the guitar) that sounds so good, and it’s their way of enjoying the music they are creating and putting all their passion into it.

However, behind the long hair and passion, there is a dark side to the music industry…

Why do musicians die young? -why do musicians die at 27? The 27 club

The 27 Club: Mental Illness and Art

The video above shows us that being in the spotlight affects your mental and physical health. Many young musicians do struggle with this, which tragically resolves to them developing addiction and depression that leads to them ending their lives early.

As mentioned in the video above, Kurt Cobain committed suicide because he couldn’t handle the pressure of fame. Jimi Hendrix died from a drug overdose at 27 as he also struggled with the pressure of being “the new king of guitar”.

Why do so many musicians kill themselves?

I believe these deaths could have been avoided if more help had been available for young musicians in stardom. Too much pressure too fast leads to developing mental health illnesses that kill. Unfortunately, there is still not enough help for the young musicians in the spotlight, and there is also the lingering stigma of being unable to talk about your mental health. It may be seen as a weakness for a famous musician to openly talk about seeking help like therapy to help with their mental health illness.

Why musicians are depressed?

Tour life for musicians is incredibly lonely. There is a tight schedule they have to stick to, and after each performance, they are rushed out of the building, into a car, and straight back to the hotel. In the hotel, they are usually all by themselves in the hotel room, and loneliness can cause depression. They are experiencing a unique experience that very few of us get. However, it is lonely if you are experiencing this all by yourself.

If the artist is very well-known, it becomes difficult to do anything with anyone without getting harassed by fans and being unable to develop steady romantic relationships that fit into the chaotic lifestyle. Why do musicians use drugs? It can feel isolating, and artists use drugs to eliminate it.

There is also the pressure of maintaining and reaching fans’ expectations and the fear of letting them down. Fans can adore you for one minute, but if you do one thing that they don’t like, then they will turn against you. They are also negative press pressure. Journalists will always twist the truth about an artist to sell stories; unfortunately, people enjoy seeing negative stories about famous people to feel better about themselves.

Why do musicians wear headphones?

As a musician, you are often exposed to loud noise. This is where musicians develop Tinnitus. This can be a painful experience, and it can be avoided by wearing earplugs in an environment with loud music. I do recommend Cortexi. Cortexi will help with Tinnitus relief and hearing loss; Tinnitus causes. Cortexi is a Tinnitus relief supplement that guarantees 100% satisfaction. Please try it if you are suffering from tinnitus; click on the links above to visit their website.

Conclusion

Why do musicians die young? We have learnt that being in the spotlight isn’t easy as many people desire fame and fortune; you must handle the pressure, tight schedule, and loneliness. Hopefully, we can change the stigma and avoid more 27 club members. I hope this post has answered the question, why do musicians die young? Please check out my other music posts below.

Singers with mental illness

The Truth of Singers with mental illness in 2023

Singers with mental illness

Who are the singers with mental illness? We will explore what singers have suffered from mental illnesses, present and past. What were these illnesses’ causes, and how has the music industry impacted their mental health?

It’s important to remember that singers are also human beings and suffer from the same illnesses that we do. The inspiration for this post was the recent news of singer Lewis Capaldi who has publicly announced his diagnosis of Tourette syndrome.

I want to explore how singers cope with mental illness in the music industry and has their careers caused their mental health to decline. I would also like to explore the importance of how everyone should take care of their mental health and ways to do so.

Singers with mental health

  • Brian Wilson
  • Carrie Fisher
  • Rocky Erickson
  • Syd Barrett
  • Naomi Judd
  • Lauv
  • Daniel Johnston
  • Audra McDonald
  • Brad Pitt
  • Jim Carrey
  • Vivien Leigh
  • Jackson Pollock
  • Ruby Lax
  • Russel Brand
  • Drew Barrymore
  • Troian Bellisario
  • Ray Davis
  • Patty Duke
  • Amanda Bynes
  • Jenifer Lewis
  • Mel Gibson
  • Anthony Hopkins
  • Demi Lovato

These are the singers with mental illness that have spoken about it publically. There could be many more singers with mental illness that we don’t know about; this is probably because the stigma of having a mental illness means you are weak or insane if you need to have therapy.

Musicians who sing about mental illness – singers with mental illness

Singers with mental illness who are open about their condition are known for writing songs about their experiences with mental illness. Take Demi Lovato, for example; she has struggled with bipolar and eating disorders. Demi Lovato has often spoken about her mental health, which is very positive as it normalises talking about mental health and spreads awareness.

Demi Lovato’s song ‘It’s ok not to be ok’ removes the mental health stigma. This is because it’s about reassuring ourselves that struggling is ok. Before this song, Demi Lovato released a song called ‘I love me’ about her struggle with her self-esteem issues.

In this interview, Demi Lovato mentions that being in the public eye in the music industry has resulted in her dealing with anxiety, depression and addiction. She speaks out about her struggles, hoping her experience can help those struggling with similar situations and make them feel more positive.

“talking and to people and asking for help is more than ok” (Demi Lovato). This is a positive message from Demi Lovato, and hopefully, this message will help those struggling in the public eye and out.

Lewis Capaldi – singers with mental illness

Lewis Capaldi has been in the music news lately after openly speaking about struggling with anxiety before fame which has escalated from being in the public eye.

Lewis Capaldi’s Battle With Crippling Anxiety

Capaldi explains that he dealt with anxiety pre-fame; however, being in the public eye “..tipped him over the edge…” (L. Capaldi) and caused the panic attacks. This is evidence that being in the music industry’s public eye can cause singers with mental illness to worsen.

My Advice on how to combat mental and physical health – singers with mental illness

As a singer, I have encountered mental challenges that have knocked me off course. I want to share my tricks during a bad mental health day.

  • Journal – there is no better release than journaling what you are feeling. Sometimes writing your feelings out can help you understand your emotions and how they were triggered in the first place.
  • Meditate – find a quiet place, preferably outdoors, in a green area away from the noise. Open a meditation app like ‘Headspace’ and meditate for a few minutes daily. You can feel the tension leave your body even if you go outside and take a few deep breaths.
  • Talk – talk about how you are feeling to someone you trust. Sometimes the people who love you know you better than you know yourself. They can sometimes spot patterns in your behaviour, see things you haven’t noticed about yourself, and help you deal with the issue. It also helps if you can afford a therapist.
  • Get a pet – If you’ve already got a pet, then you already understand how a pet can instantly make you feel better; I have a cat myself, and a quick cuddle and a little play time with my cat can boost my mood. A cat’s purr has been proven to decrease stress. Over on Amazon right now are deals on cat gifts and treats; check out the deals here.

What artists are bipolar?

  • Mariah Carey
  • Scott Stapp
  • Halsey
  • Sia
  • Pete Wentz
  • Odean Pope
  • Selena Gomez
  • Mathew Good
  • Bebe Rexha
  • Adam Ant
  • Kristin Hersh
  • Steven Page
  • Charley Pride
  • Demi Lovato
  • Max Bemis
  • Mary Lambert
  • Justin Furstenfeld
  • Craig Owens
  • Beth Hart
  • Ray Davies

Famous cases of mental illness – singers with mental illness

It is great when a high-profile person speaks openly about their mental health experiences. People who look up to these artists will be influenced positively to talk about their mental health.

An excellent example of this is Chrissy Teigen-postpartum depression; even though she suffered, she had a positive outlook on the experience. “I want people to know it can happen to anybody, and I don’t want people who have it to feel embarrassed or alone.” (University of Utah Health, 2017). If you are suffering from postpartum depression, then I recommend Postpartum depression journal; the journal has prompts and advice on how to get onto the road of recovery.

Another well-known artist to suffer from mental health is Adele. Adele also suffered from postpartum depression, but also, Adele doesn’t tour as much, and she takes long breaks after completing a tour where people claim that she ‘disappears’. This is evidence that being in the spotlight in the music industry has a toll on your mental health and body to the point it can make you exhausted and take year-long breaks.

25 celebrities with mental illnesses – singers with mental illness

  • Musicians with schizophrenia – Brian Wilson – The Beach Boys. Before his diagnosis, Brian reportedly was sleeping all time, doing drugs and overeating while hearing voices. After his diagnosis, Brian learned how to manage it and received treatment and therapy, which allowed him to finish ‘Smile’, the well-known unfinished Breach Boys song.
  • Syd Barrett – Pink Floyd – suspected schizophrenia. Barrett was never officially diagnosed with schizophrenia; however, being in the music industry spotlight declined Barrett’s mental health. He was also a heavy drug user. His cognitive decline negatively affected his behaviour, so he left the band. Barrett also adds to the list of celebrities who had mental breakdowns “In my opinion, [his breakdown] would have happened anyway,” said David Gilmour, who stepped in as Pink Floyd’s guitarist after Barrett’s departure. “It was a deep-rooted thing. But I’ll say the psychedelic experience might well have acted as a catalyst. Still, I just don’t think he could deal with the vision of success and all the things that went with it.” (Wyeth, 2011)

If you or someone you know is suffering from schizophrenia and you want to have a better understandig of it, then I would reccomend Schizophrenia for Dummies it’s a great guide on understanding the basics of schizophrenia and how to healthly deal with the illness.

Or if you would like to learn about schizophrenia from first hand experience then I recommend Into the Darkness: A Journey into Schizophrenia, this book will take you on a journey through his life with living with Schizophrenia.

Rappers with mental illness

  • Kanye West – Although he wasn’t officially diagnosed with a mental illness court documents from 2017 indicate that he suffers from a mental illness. Apparently his behaviour was “strained, confused and erratic” (Ranker, 2020) he was even hospitalised to treat his mental health.
  • Eminem – Eminem has suffered from depression and anger issues as well as addiction.
  • Lil Wayne – Lil Wayne sufferes from depression and suicidal tendencies.

If you are suffering from depression and suicidal thoughts similar to the musicians mentioned in this post, here are some self-help books I recommned to help you positively help your situation.

Misunderstanding Mental Illness

I hope the content and material above will help you.

  • Kendrick Lamar – Lamar suffers from depression because he worries about gun violence and cannot help those in his hometown.
  • DMX – DMX suffers from bipolar disorder, and he says that his stage personas represent each of his moods. This is a very creative and healthy way to express your mental health. Artists tend to write songs about their mental health experiences, and some create stage personas from them. It’s a good way to process what they are dealing with.
  • Chance the Rapper – Chance the Rapper struggles with anxiety and PTSD. This has resulted in losing many close friends. He is only now beginning to talk about it, which is a step in the right direction for singers with mental illness.
  • Kid Cudi – He suffers from depression which has caused him to have mental breakdowns.
  • B.o.B – hinted in his song “Avalanche” that he could suffer from depression. However, he hasn’t been diagnosed.
  • IT – he suffers from mental trauma after his friend died in his arms.
  • Mac Miller – has sung about his struggle with addiction, but unfortunately, he eventually ended his life.
  • Ariana Grande – suffers from PTSD after the Manchester Arena Bombing at one of her concerts.
  • Sia has suffered from depression and addiction after the death of her boyfriend.
  • Halsey – Diagnosed with Bipolar disorder
  • Zayn Malik cancelled multiple shows because his anxiety had gotten the better of him. He has also suffered from eating disorders.
  • Beyonce – she has suffered from generational trauma and body shaming.
  • Billie Eilish – She has written songs about how she has suffered from depression and suicidal thoughts.
  • Lady Gaga suffers from PTSD as she was severely bullied as a child and raped at 19.
  • Louis Tomlinson – suffers from trauma after losing his mother and younger sister.
  • Zendaya – She has admitted to suffering from anxiety and stage fright.
  • Adam Lavine – ADHD
  • Alanis Morissette – post-partum depression
  • Amy Winehouse – Bipolar
  • Cher – ADHD
  • Frank Sinatra – Bipolar

Conclusion – Singers with mental illness

That concludes the post of singers with mental illness. I hope you have found this post informative and changed your view on certain celebrities now that you understand their struggles. I also hope you check out some recommended books if you struggle with mental health issues. Even though I am not a mental health expert, I want to create positive content that helps with the mental health stigma and hopefully benefits someone’s life.

stage presence for singers

My advice on how to create a stage presence for singers 2023

stage presence for singers

How to create a stage presence for singers? I have been singing since I was nine years old, which means I have been performing for 14 years and have many years of experience in this field. So I know what I am talking about.

We need to understand what is the importance of stage presence and why we need to use it. We need to look into other artists’ presence as examples and how we can use it as inspiration to create our own.

We will dive into the specifics like where your eyes look and the importance of storytelling through your body. Let’s learn about what is good stage presence.

My advice on how to create a stage presence for singers

My advice on how to create a stage presence for singers

I have studied and taken multiple singing and music exams. I have taken GCSE music, a bachelor’s degree in Contemporary music performance and a master’s in Songwriting and production. From all my experience with music, the best advice I ever received, for stage presence for singers, was to act out the meaning of the lyrics. What I mean by that is not just to sing the words and make them sound pretty but also to act out what is happening in the song.

For example, if you sing a song about heartbreak with a slow tempo, you should move slowly and gracefully. Use your arms; if a lyric in the song says something like ‘the pain in my chest’, while singing this lyric, place your hand on your chest and clutch your heart. This helps convey the song’s message and make it feel natural, like you’re singing from personal experience; your audience will feel it when you express your emotions.

Remember, during a sad song, use sad and longing facial expressions, and look longingly into the distance like you are daydreaming. You should get the gist. You aren’t just creating pretty melodies with your voice; you’re using your entire body and facial expressions to tell a story to your audience. If it’s a sad song, you want to make people cry (in a good way).

Grease | “Hopelessly Devoted.”

This scene from Grease is an excellent example of a heartbreak/sad romance stage presence. Note that Olivia Newton-John doesn’t stare down at the camera; she’s always looking into the distance and glancing at the ground, which gives a sad and longing emotion. Her body language is lazy and loose, like she can’t do anything with herself as she can’t stop thinking about Danny.

Persona – stage presence for singers

Other artists like to use the persona technique. This is when they create different characters they can bring on stage. A famous example is the rap artist Eminem. He made a persona called slim shady. Another excellent example of an artist using a persona is David Bowe. He had a character called Ziggy Stardust. You should check out both of these artists’ performances as their personas on YouTube to better understand what a persona is.

Persona and stage presence meaning

A persona is a character an artist will create for stage performances. This allows artists to be creative with their performance and music by creating a story with this character. It’s a good way to story tell in the music and performance to keep the performance entertaining.

Stage presence can be slightly different; it’s still storytelling but with more authenticity; you can tell a story about yourself and your own experiences.

You must express great charisma by using energy, emotions, and movement to invite your audience in as a stage presence example. For stage presence for singers, you tend to see singers going to the front of the stage and hyping up their audience by jumping up and down and dancing with their audience, pointing to a mic towards the audience to let the audience sing the well-known parts.

How to improve your stage presence for singers?

To have a great stage presence for singers, You can always practice your stage presence by performing in front of a mirror or recording yourself and watching the footage back to see what looks good and what doesn’t; I know this can be hard not to judge yourself too much, but remember it’ll take time to get used to and it will look more natural.

Another way is to get a stage presence coach if you want to take it further, but my best advice when starting is to learn from practice and experience. It also helps to get feedback from friends and family. Collaboration with other artists is another great way to learn; you can learn from each other’s experiences and help each other.

My stage performance tips for singers

  • Practice the performance until you feel entirely confident. The confidence will show on stage more when you know what you are doing.
  • Record yourself- an excellent way to see where you can improve and also helps to track progress.
  • Wear something you feel confident in,
  • understand what you are singing about
  • Act out the story and meaning of the song using your body language, movement and facial expressions.

Why is stage presence important in singing?

stage presence for singers

Stage presence for singers is important as you need to keep the audience engaged as much as possible; you want people to come away from your performance feeling energised and excited. You want people discussing your performance to drive more traffic to your future performances.

Standing still won’t get people dancing; it is also a bad stage presence for singers. You want to move around the stage and get people up and moving. Stage performance keeps your performance memorable.

Take Pink, for example; she is good at acrobatics which she then uses in her performances.

Pink – so what -PInk -Indianapolis, March 17, 2018 – Aerial Acrobatics

I’m not saying you have to do acrobats to engage your audience. I’m suggesting if there is something that you are good at that you can include in your performance, then go for it. This is a good unique quality to add to your stage presence.

Where do singers look while performing on stage? – stage presence for singers

From my experience of learning about stage presence for singers, I tend to look at the wall at the back of the room, but not for the entire performance; I’ll look at everyone’s faces to engage more and try and hype them up. Sometimes it’s nice to close my eyes now and then to sad songs, as this can come across as emotional and passionate.

Stage presence for dancers

Stage presence for dancers can be different from stage presence for singers. Stage presence for dancers is what makes you stand out from all the other dancers. You need to have great posture and stand tall. Add personal flavour and flair to your movements, don’t make it look like you are going from move to move. Commit to the character you are playing, remembering to emote their face and body. Fully extend your movements. Don’t be shy show how confident you are.

The emotive facial expressions and commitment to the character are similar in stage presence for singers. If you are a singer, you could even include a bit of a dance act in your performance and use the dance stage presence techniques to make your overall stage performance engaging.

If dance is meant to be elegant, stay light and graceful; show it from your toes to your fingertips. Be masculine in heavier songs.

Conclusion

We have now analysed the ins and out of how to have a stage presence for singers. We have learnt what stage presence is for singers and how to apply it to your performance. We also know about persona, a technique that singers use to enhance their performance by creating brand-new characters to perform on stage. We have learnt why stage presence is significant for singing and how it can help build your fan base and get the word around.

We know that stage presence for singers is a different kind of stage presence for dancers, but they both have similarities.

I hope you have enjoyed this post about stage presence for singers, and I hope you have learnt something helpful and informative for you to put to use.

Foods to eat before singing

The best foods to eat before singing 2023

foods to eat before singing

What are the best foods to eat before singing? As an experienced singer myself. I know what works for my voice and what doesn’t, so I would like to share with you my tips and experience on what I eat before singing and what foods I avoid.

Also, what liquids should you drink before and during your performance? Let’s learn about the singer’s diet for a healthy voice. Believe it or what you put into your body does affect your voice so it is essential to watch what you eat.

Here are my tips on what to avoid before singing.

What are the best foods to eat before singing?

You should aim to eat foods like rice, potato or high-protein tofu before you sing. Hot tea can be good for your throat as well but don’t have sugar in the tea. I tend to avoid drinking tea before singing cause I feel like it dries my throat out.

Some singers prefer to drink something cold like ice water and some people like hot water before singing; you’ll have to experiment and see what works best for you; I would definitely do this in preparation for a show, especially if you want to know what to eat before singing a solo, the best way is trial and error.

Foods to avoid before singing

From my experience, there is a far more extensive list of foods to avoid for singing than there is of foods that you should eat before singing. I avoid any nuts like peanuts and almonds. This is because it always leaves crumbs in my mouth that end up in the back of my throat and makes me cough. You should avoid all dairy products if you aren’t vegan, but as I am, this isn’t an issue for me.

Avoid caffeine, as caffeine will dehydrate you and dry out your throat. You should avoid all circus fruits as this will also dry out your throat, don’t eat bananas as it will leave behind a thick layer on your throat, and you’ll feel the need to want to clear your throat all the time which won’t look good professionally.

Avoid anything spicy, as this can repeat on you and cause you to cough mid-performance.

what to eat before singing high notes

The best foods to eat before singing high notes can be anything like cucumber or lettuce because they are really hydrating, as long as there is no citrus or salty dressing on the salad or tomatoes as they can leave a tickle residue on the throat.

Ideas for snacks to eat before singing would need some watermelon as it is very hydrating and carrots won’t leave anything on your throat as well as long as you don’t eat it grated.

what to eat for breakfast before singing

what to eat for breakfast before singing

You can eat Avocado for breakfast. Some websites I searched on say that you can eat toast as well, but the throat of the crumbs being stuck in my throat makes me want to avoid that.

I would avoid any sugary cereal and, of course, avoid coffee. I wouldn’t consume any energy drinks because they contain high levels of caffeine and sugar.

What drinks are best to have before singing?

5 best drinks for singers

From the video above, anything that has low acid and sugar and is incredibly hydrating should be an ideal drink before singing.

What helps clear your throat before singing?

Drinking plenty of room-temperature water before you sing will help clear your throat. For ultimate hydration on your vocal cords, I like to steam my throat. Boil the kettle and pour the boiling water into a bowl. Place the bowl down on the ground or on a surface. Using a towel, place the towel over your head over the bowl to control the steam to your face.

Inhale the steam; the steam will hydrate your lungs, throat and vocal cords. This is why people sound good when they sing in the shower; the steam has hydrated their throat and vocal cords so they can perform at their best.

Conclusion

Now we know what are the best foods to eat before singing. I hope you will apply this to your singing routine, and I hope you can see the difference when you are singing. The best foundation for stage makeup

The best foundation for stage makeup 2023 vegan

the best foundation for stage makeup

Finding the best foundation for stage makeup is essential if you want to look and feel your best. As a singer-songwriter myself, I have been on stage numerous times during my university degrees in Cardiff, and I had to hunt for a decent foundation that wouldn’t rub off my face and what would look good under the spotlight.

I hope I can find you the best stage makeup for dancers and any other kind of stage performer. Keeping this in mind, I’m writing from my experience as a singer. I hope this blog will help you to avoid stage makeup mistakes.

The best foundation for stage makeup

The best foundation for stage makeuo

The picture above is me with my stage makeup on. This foundation is by KVD. The foundation is a matte finish, and from my experience with different foundations, this foundation has the best coverage. You also don’t need to use much of it, so it lasts long. I would also recommend setting the foundation with a translucent powder.

A great tip when applying foundation is not to use your fingers. Use a beauty blender or a foundation brush. Amazon has 25% off the Niré Beauty 15piece Award Winning Glitter Makeup Brushes: Cute Makeup Brushes Set with Case, Beauty Blender, Cleaner, Guide, Gift Box. It’s important to invest in a decent brush set and always wash your makeup brushes often. Washing your brushes improves the foundation application as well.

From my experience, a great way to ensure your foundation sits smoothly on your face is to exfoliate after you’ve washed your face; exfoliating will remove any excess skin cells from your face, and this will help smooth the surface of your skin. It also helps to avoid clogged pores which minimises the chance of getting spots. The last thing you want to worry about before or during a performance is if your blemishes are noticeable.

Before the foundation application, ensure your tone, cleanse and moisturise your skin, and ensure the moisturiser has SPF to protect your skin from UV rays and harsh lighting.

The best foundation for stage makeup

When choosing the best foundation for stage makeup, you need to go one shade darker than your actual shade match because the lights are so bright on stage that they can wash you out and make you look ill.

What type of foundation is best for stage makeup?

Nyx Professional Makeup Born To Glow Foundation was at the top of my research on this topic. I haven’t used this, but apparently, it’s a professional artist’s favourite choice for stage makeup. The foundation is more of a dewy finish, which may not taste, but you may be going for that dewy glow finish which would be the best foundation for stage lights. However, if you like a matte finish, try the KVD foundation with a matte powder, and if you still want a bit of a glow, then I recommend a great highlighter that will catch the stage lights on your cheekbones nicely.

Basic stage makeup list – foundations – Which foundation is best for professional makeup?

Basic stage makeup list
  • Nyx Professional Makeup Bron To Glow Foundation
  • CoverGirl TruBlend Matte Made Liquid Foundation
  • The Ordinary Serum Foundation
  • The Lip Bar Just a Tint Skin Conditioner
  • Maybelline New York Fit Me Matte + Poreless Oil-Free Liquid Foundation
  • Uoma By Sharon C Flawless IRL Skin Perfecting Foundation
  • Sephora Collection Best Skin Ever Liquid Foundation
  • Essence Pretty Natural Hydrating Foundation
  • E.L.F. Camo CC Cream
  • Milani Conceal + Perfect 2-in-1 Foundation + Concealer
  • NYX Professional Makeup Can’t Stop Won’t Stop Foundation
  • Maybelline New York Fit Me Dewy + Smooth Foundation
  • Black Radiance Color Perfect Foundation Stick Foundation
  • Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation

This is the best list that I could research for the best theatrical makeup foundation and/or stage makeup foundation. All the foundations above are favourites of professional artists.

Conclusion

So what is the best foundation for stage makeup? It’s down to you, whether you want a dewy finish or a matte finish. We have learnt all the different brands that you cant try out. I’m definitley going to try a few myself. I hope this post answers some of your quesions and has inspired you to experiment with different foundations. Thank you.

30g protein vegan meals

Want to know how to make 30g protein vegan meals?

How do you get 30g protein vegan meals? One of the most common questions I get asked as a vegan is, ‘Where do you get your protein from?’ the simple answer is…plants. You don’t need to buy supplements and vitamins to get your daily protein intake. You can get protein from tofu, legumes, peas, nuts and seeds.

If you want to create a vegan meal plan with high-protein meals or are just curious about how to make 30g protein vegan meals, then you will find the inspiration you are looking for in this post.

Here are the questions I will be answering:

  • How to get 30g of protein vegan meal?
  • How to get 25 grams of vegan protein?
  • How to get 40 grams of vegan protein?
  • How to get 20g of protein per meal vegan?
  • How to get 50g of protein in a vegan diet?

How to make 30g protein vegan meals?

How to make 30g protein vegan meals?

To make a 30g protein meal, you need a high-protein plant. Tofu is great to add to your meal; a serving of tofu added to your stirfry can add as much as 30g. I like to purchase organic soft tofu, scramble it with some turmeric, and have it on toast with vegan cheese, tomatoes and mushrooms; that is a tasty way to get natural protein in your diet and an excellent high protein vegan breakfast

About three cups of quinoa are just over 30g of protein; that’s a lot of quinoa in one go, so I would suggest spreading that out. Or you could do a large quinoa salad. You could also have quinoa and lentils in a soup. You could achieve 30g of protein from just split pea soup alone, one hundred grams of split peas is twenty-five grams of protein; if you have split pea soup with an added cup of quinoa, you will have a meal with over 30g of protein.

How to get 25 grams of vegan protein?

how to get 25g of vegan protein

As mentioned above, 100g of split pea soup is 25g of protein. You can also make a tortilla wrap with avocado, salsa, and black beans, which contains 16g of protein in one cup and some sliced firm tofu, 100g of tofu is 8g of protein, so add under 200g of tofu to make the 25g of protein.

A 25g vegan protein meal I enjoy is homemade oven-baked chips with salad in a peanut butter sauce dressing. I know what you’re thinking; peanut butter is fatty; this is correct, but it is a healthy fat like coconut oil. As for the chips, I slice up a potato into thin chip-shaped strips and lightly coat them in coconut oils mixed with paprika and salt. Bake the potato in the oven for about 35 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius. Chop up the salad of your choice, and then mix up the peanut sauce. Mix up 100g of peanut butter (whole organic peanut butter) and a bit of soy sauce, and adjust the soy sauce to taste; I use about a teaspoon as I find soy sauce too salty. Then mix water with the peanut butter and soy sauce mixture for a less thick consistency.

Once the chips are done and the salad is plated, pour the peanut dressing on the salad and chips. I sometimes add a little syrup to the peanut sauce as I enjoy the salty and sweet combination, and it works for this sauce.

High protein vegan meals for weight loss – 30g protein vegan meals

high protein vegan meals for weight loss
Healthy vegan meal prep for weight loss

As mentioned in the video above, the best way to ensure you stick to your weight loss goals is to reduce the temptation to go off track and order out instead of making a delicious and healthy high-protein meal. The best way to prep high protein meals so when you have finished your training, there is a delicious healthy vegan meal with high protein waiting for you back home.

The meals in the video are low in calories which will also benefit your weight loss journey. meal prep also saves you time and money as you don’t need to think about what you need to have for food that day as it’s already in the fridge ready for you and you don’t need to buy the ingredients on the day that you need it.

How to get 40 grams of vegan protein?

40g vegan protein meals

1 cup of tofu is 40g of protein. You can marinate firm tofu in a sauce of your choice. I would let the tofu marinate for hours or at least overnight to really get the flavour in the tofu. Then you should bake or fry your tofu and add it to your meal of choice. It’s great in a wrap or a salad, anything you want.

For a high-protein breakfast, you can have 100g of peanut butter, which is 25g, one cup of oats, which is 26g, and 10g of protein powder. You can melt the peanut butter into the oats with the protein powder to make a 40g protein breakfast. You can top the porridge with some berries or a banana of your choice.

How to get 20g of protein per meal vegan?

How to get 20g of protein per meal vegan?

You can start your day with a protein shake of your choice. My favourite at the minute is to use frozen banana, organic cocoa powder, 20g of protein powder and a bit of syrup to adjust the sweetness and some organic soya milk. This tastes like chocolate ice cream to me.

A tremendous vegan 20g protein snack is to make cookie dough balls. All you need is 90g of oats, 30g of peanut butter, 50 ml of coconut milk, and syrup of your choice (I use agave syrup). You can also add vegan chocolate chips to the mixture if you find any vegan ones.

First, blend the oats to make flour, then add all the ingredients to the bowl and mix. Make little dough balls, and that’s it! Nice and easy healthy snack.

For a high-protein dinner, you can make a chickpea curry. There are many different chickpea curry recipes that you can find online or on Pinterest. Use about 100g of chickpeas to ensure you have your 20g of protein.

How to get 50g of protein in a vegan diet?

How to get 50g of protein in a vegan diet?

If you are looking for a 50g vegan protein meal, I would suggest making something with seeds and nuts. Sunflower seeds have 21g of protein in every 100g. Pumpkin seeds have 19g of protein in every 100g, and 100g of flaxseed has 18g of protein. All of those ingredients come to 58g of protein.

From these ingredients, you can make your own 50g protein crackers. Soak the pumpkin and sunflower seeds overnight, and rinse and dry them in the morning. Blend the seeds with a little water until a smooth porridge-like paste. Add some salt and herbs of your choice for taste. Spread the mixture onto a baking tray and bake for about 20-35mins at 180 degrees Celsius. There you have it, some delicious high-protein crackers.

High protein vegan foods – 30g protein vegan meals

high protein vegan foods

Vegan foods that contain high protein are:

  • Chickpeas
  • Legumes e.g lentils, beans, butter beans, kidney beans
  • seeds
  • nuts
  • quinoa
  • tofu
  • peas
  • Oats

Include these foods in your vegan meals to ensure you are having a good amount of protein in your diet.

Easy high protein vegan meals – 30g protein vegan meals

30g protein vegan meals

You can make easy high-protein meals using the Russell Hobbs air fryer, currently 33% off on Amazon. Air fryers are quick and easy to use, perfect for making high-protein vegan meals. Air fryers also use less energy, so they should positively impact your energy bills and help you save money.

In the air fryer, you can bake a quick jacket potato and load the potato with some chickpeas in the peanut butter sauce I have mentioned above. This is quick because potatoes bake faster in an air fryer than in an oven.

You can also make a stir fry which I like to do for a quick meal. I make my own sweet and sour sauce from pineapple juice, syrup, tomato sauce, apple cider vinegar and soy sauce. Just fry the vegetables you want, and include high protein vegs like chickpeas, peas and legumes such as butter beans or black beans.

The video below for further inspiration.

Cheap high protein vegan meals – 30g protein vegan meals

cheap high protein vegan meals

As long as you stick to whole foods and vegetables, then you should be able to make affordable meals. Let’s use a tofu scramble as an example; Tofu, on average, is about £2.30, and turmeric is about 90p in the spice aisle; you can also grow your herbs in your kitchen, which will save you money. You can buy a garlic bulb for about 50p or garlic granules. Add whatever spices you want. Depending on where you buy, you can also add some onions ranging from 79p to £1.15. Also, add soya milk to the tofu, which is £1.25.

So on a tofu scramble, we have only spent about £5.74; as long as you keep it simple, the cost of each meal shouldn’t have to break the bank.

You can also chop up vegetables, place them on tupper ware and freeze it to make them last longer.

I would check out Vegan One Pound Meals: Delicious budget-friendly plant-based recipes all for £1 per person. There are more ideas for making great low-budget vegan meals for you.

There are also fantastic deals on Amazon right now, such as Homeware items. There is currently 70% a stainless steel pan set of 5 which is amazing right now if you are in need of a new set.

Conclusion

The best superfood powders uk

What are the best superfood powders uk in 2023? Made Simple

Best superfood powders uk

So what are the best superfood powders uk? Superfoods should be included in your everyday diet as they are essential for boosting your immune system and providing your body with essential vitamins and minerals to help keep you fit, young and healthy.

You are what you eat! What you put in your body will have a lasting effect on your body in the future.

I will be answering questions such as:

  • What is the best greens powder uk?
  • Are superfood powders worth it?
  • What is the best morning super greens powder for gut health and bloating metabolism?
  • What time of day should you take superfood powder?
  • Are green powders good for you?
  • Who may not benefit from greens powders?
  • What are the best superfood powders out there?
  • Are there alternatives to green powders?
  • What are the benefits of greens superfood powders?
  • What is the best greens powder?

What is the best greens powder UK? – the best superfood powders UK.

We’ve all heard of the super green smoothies that healthy fitness freaks tend to drink first thing in the morning. Is there any benefit to drinking these green smoothies?

The best organic super greens powder UK
The best organic super greens powder UK

BodyMe Organic Vegan Greens Powder | 270g | Super Greens Blend | with Wheatgrass Moringa Spirulina Chlorella Matcha Prebiotic Inulin Mango Turmeric Beetroot Ashwagandha is a good organic super green blend to start with. Always check that all the ingredients are organic and no nasty chemicals have been added for flavour.

I use Naturya spirulina as my green powder. I like using a spoonful of lemon water as a refreshing drink. There is a full range of different superfood powders in the Naturya range. You should especially check out the super greens powder holland and barrett as I believe it is organic and vegan and contains more than spirulina.

Green powders have been proven to lower blood pressure, but remember not to rely on just the powder to gain your greens; add some spinach to your meals to have a balanced diet that contains whole green vegetables.

The best greens powder uk reddit?
the best greens powder uk

Which green powder is the best reddit? Well according to reddit, the best green powder is Nuzest – Greens Powder – Good Green Vitality – Filled with Superfood Nutrients, Vitamins & Minerals – Vegan Green Juice Drink – Gluten Free – Dairy Free – 120g – 12 Servings. I skimmed over the ingredients and didn’t pick up on any nasty chemicals; however, it isn’t organic, so I wouldn’t purchase this product myself as I feel that organic products are more trustworthy.

Are super food powders worth it? – The best superfood powders UK

Are super food powders worth it? - The best superfood powders UK

Are superfoods powder good for you? Yes, they contain nutritious vitamins that are good for your overall health. However, it is still important to eat whole foods like organic fruit and veg to have your fibre. The superfood powders do contain amazing vitamins, but they don’t provide you with your fibre.

Superfoods can be very pricy, so if you can’t afford the superfoods, then add a mixture of greens like broccoli or spinach to your meals. You will still gain all the ingredients that are in superfood powders, so you won’t be missing out.

A little tip I like to do for my greens intake is to add a teaspoon of my green powder to my smoothie blender and a handful of spinach and then disguise the taste of the greens with some fresh mango and some frozen banana. That way, you still get your whole greens with an added supplement disguised as tasty mango and banana.

What is the best morning super greens powder for gut health and bloating metabolism?

What is the best morning super greens powder for gut health and bloating metabolism?

When searching for powders that are good for bloating FS-Greens | 21 Advanced Greens, Superfoods, and Adaptogens Including KSM-66® Ashwagandha | Vegan & Gluten-Free | Advanced Formula | Unflavoured & Unsweetened | UK Made | Free Soul (30 Servings) came up, and the ingredients seem fine to me so I would suggest trying this one.

However, if you are not bothered about added chemicals, I suggest LEAN With Lilly Superfood Daily Greens Powder Blend – Designed for Bloating, Digestion, Gut Health, Energy, & Immunity. 250g. Superfoods, Pre and Pro-biotics and Digestive enzymes. as it is designed for gut health and bloating. I’m not sure if this product is the best greens powder uk for bloating or the best green powder for gut health uk.

However, according to ‘Veggies don’t bite’ “Overall: Ensō Supergreens is the best greens powder for bloating because it contains a plethora of bloat-stopping ingredients, including probiotics and digestive enzymes, while leaving out all those extras that cause problems.” (Desantis, 2023). I Visited Enso Supergreens website, and the powder is vegan and organic, which is perfect if you need a clean anti-bloating green powder. So I do agree with ‘Veggies Don’t Bite’ it looks like Enso Supergreens could be the best greens powder for gut health.

What time of day should you take superfood powder?

You can take any superfood powder at any time of the day. The typical standard, however, is usually first thing in the morning to get energy and absorb your vitamins on an empty stomach. Although, some people tend to take them in the afternoon to get an energy boost to help with the afternoon slump.

I would suggest consuming the superfood with solid food to help with digestion. Maybe even have a warm cup of green tea beforehand, as this will help with bloating as it’s a warm liquid, so it doesn’t shock the system so much.

Are greens powders good for you? – best superfood powders UK

Green powders are particularly known for boosting your immune system and increasing your energy; this is because green powders contain high levels of vitamins and minerals such as selenium, which supports the immune system, and vitamin K, which is very high in greens, such as kale and spinach which is a common ingredient in green powders.

Is it OK to drink greens powder everyday?

It is ok to have green powder every day, but as long as you don’t rely on the greens powder to be your only portion of greens every day. Make sure to include greens such as kale, spinach and broccoli in your everyday diet and not just in powder form; this ensures you get all the fibre and nutrients from the whole vegetable.

Who may not benefit from greens powders? – the best superfood powders UK

The green powder may not be best for pregnant women, and if you are taking certain medications that green powder may clash with. If you do have health complications and/or are taking medicine that a green powder could affect negatively, then please talk to your doctor first for advice.

People with allergies may also want to avoid drinking green powders as they may be allergic to wheatgrass, another common green ingredient in green powders.

If you have IBS, I would stick to just eating whole green vegetables instead of choosing a green powder supplement unless you can have one hundred per cent organic green powder where no nasty chemicals could trigger your IBS. If any of the natural ingredients such as green tea, wheatgrass or spirulina are known for provoking your IBS, then I would avoid the green powders. I am not a doctor or an expert of IBS, though so please do your research first and talk to your doctor.

What are the best superfood powders out there? – the best superfood powders uk

I think one of the best superfood powders out there is probably Orgain Organic Superfoods Powder, I have looked on their website, and the ingredients look very clean and live up to their organic name. It is gluten-free, organic and vegan, which is a winner.

Some of Orgain Organic Superfoods Powder is about twenty pounds as I’m writing this, which isn’t too bad compared to some of the supplement brands I have come across while researching this topic.

Are there alternatives to green powders? – the best superfood powders UK.

The best alternative is substituting the green powder for whole vegetables like broccoli and kale. If you don’t enjoy your greens, then you can do what I have suggested above about disguising the taste of spinach in a fruity smoothie. Spinach is the only green from my experience that bends smoothly in a blender; kale leaves bits floating in the smoothie, which isn’t the best texture.

What are the benefits of greens superfood powders? – the best superfood powders uk

Superfood green powders can boost your immune system and lower your blood pressure. They also boost your daily vitamin and mineral intake. If you also purchase a green powder with live cultures or friendly bacteria, it can improve your overall gut health. Most of your immune system is in your gut, and what you eat shows on your skin, so your complexion will improve too. Everything in your body has a ripple effect, so you must be careful of what you put in your body.

What is the best greens powder?

This answer will differ from person to person as it depends on your body and health goals. I will stick to the Naturya brand as I know it is vegan and organic. Also, I have never suffered from any health problems from taking the supplements.

So this answer is up to you to decide and try different supplements. Or add more greens to your daily diet, as mentioned above.

Small and medium business brands

Your Super is a great medium brand, making their products from small farmers. They have a vast range of powder-form supplements for different needs and goals. They are plant-based and organic, which is great for you and the planet. I have used their powders before, and enjoy them, especially their moon balance and energy bomb powder that I use the most.

athletic greens alternative uk

I don’t know much about athletic greens, so I had to do some googling for this one. The first alternative that I came across is the Indigo herbs super green powder which is about fifteen pounds.

We have also learnt about what powders on the market are good for reducing bloating, and we have also learnt about the types of people who can’t or shouldn’t consume green powders for medical and health reasons.

How to make music on your computer

Are you a new musician that wants to make music at home? Being an independent musician is very difficult, especially when starting out. This post is going to teach us how to make music on your computer.

I will share how I have written music on my computer and mixed and mastered my songs for my Master’s degree. I will talk to you about Logic Pro X, which is the platform that I have used to make music on my laptop. The laptop that I use to create this music and any additional music that I have purchased for recording my music onto my computer.

We will also look into free software such as Reaper and Audacity.

How to make music on your computer

How to make music on your computer

What do I need to start making music on my computer?

So how to make music on your computer. First, you will need an Apple Mac for Logic Pro X. I have the Apple Mac book Air and Logic run well for me. I do recommend purchasing Logic Pro X; however, if that is too expensive then I would recommend the Reaper platform as this is free and it lets you do the same things that Logic Pro X does. I prefer Logic because it’s easier to use, and I have done many University assessments with Logic, which means I am very familiar with the platform.

When you open up logic you can either select software instrument or audio. The software instrument option will open up a logic session with an already installed software instrument. You can record music on this by using the musical typing keyboard, or you can select the audio option when starting a new session and plug in your desired instrument with an XLR and an interface.

Make sure you install the Interface beforehand, and before you record a live instrument, remember to change the audio settings to the interface.

Once you have recorded the instruments and/or vocals you have desired, you can now move on to mixing.

Mixing-How to make music on your computer

mixing - how to make music on your computer

What is mixing? Mixing is editing the music that you have recorded to tidy it up and make it sound better. For example, you can add special effects to instruments such as reverb, you can also edit the dynamics of individual instruments using automation. If you are new to mixing, then I would suggest you take a course on mixing or do some reading about it. You should try a music mixing workbook this will walk you through how to mix a track.

How to make music on your computer for free – How to make music on computer for beginners

As a student, I couldn’t afford a new Mac or pay for Logic. So when I started writing my music, I used Reaper. Reaper does the same things as logic, but it is a bit more fiddly and time-consuming than logic. It’s good for just basic music so it’s great if you are a beginner; however, if you want a more professional sound then definitely save up for logic.

Here is a song that I helped with Quintessence and I used Reaper for the vocals.

Quintessence – “Fireforce” Spark again English Metal) – Aimer – Lily, AGEKK, Patrice , Niamh

As you can hear my vocals aren’t amazing, but it can get the job done. This was also recorded during lockdown and how to make music for free.

Another great way to make music for free is by downloading the free DAW Waveform free. I have never used this before, but it’s completely free with no restrictions whatsoever. I have no idea if it runs well or what the sound quality is like, but if you are desperate for a free DAW then I would suggest giving this a try.

Audacity is another free music DAW that you can use. Again I haven’t tried this one either, so I am not sure how it runs, I know that you can use it on Windows so you don’t need to spend money on an expensive Mac. I researched for reviews, and it says it is a good free DAW and beginner friendly.

How to make music on your computer without instruments

As I have mentioned above you can use the build in instruments that come with logic. There is a full orchestra and plenty of percussion options in Logic. When you select the instrument that you want you can open up the musical keyboard and play the melody or beat that you want to create.

You can also create midi sounds, I know in the past that people have created entire songs from just midi instruments. With midi, you can create loops and edit each individual not to your liking. I often you midi when I am writing my songs.

There are plenty of midi tutorials on YouTube that you can watch for free, or you can buy a midi keyboard if it’s easier to create those sounds externally rather than just in Logic itself. Now you know how to make music without instruments.

How to make music online – How to make music on your computer

So, how do you make music online?

  • Write your song
  • Record it in logic
  • Mix the song
  • Master the song
  • Export the song
  • Upload it to a music platform

You may not get any attention at first but when it comes to posting material online. It’s all about consistency. People will see your name pop up time and time again until your name becomes familiar to them and they will want to check out your music because they recognise your name.

Always promote your new music on multiple media platforms to grow your audience. For a while, you may not get much, but if you keep at it, you’ll gain more and more followers.

Don’t give up when you don’t get the results that you want immediately. You don’t get ripped from only hitting the gym once.

Can I make my own song on the computer? How to make music on your computer

Yes, you can! When I started my first music degree, I didn’t know how to write my own material. So I only did covers. I would purchase instrumental covers from the website ‘Karaoke Version’; the covers on there only cost pennies and you can choose if the cover has vocals in it or backup singers or just a guitar instrumental. You can then download it and drag and drop it onto logic and record whatever instrument you wanted along with the track.

For your own song, you can record individual instruments onto logic on your computer. If you only play one instrument or even none at all, as I mentioned above, you can use midi and create any original song that you want.

How to make music with keyboard

To record a live keyboard you’ll need a jack cable and an audio interface. Plug the jack cable into your keyboard and plug your audio interface into your keyboard. Ensure you have installed the audio interface onto your laptop first, or it won’t work.

Select the audio interface in your audio settings within your DAW, and you should have a piano coming through your headphones and see the waveforms in your DAW.

Conclusion – How to make music on your computer

So to conclude, we are now aware of the many free Daws we can try out so we don’t have to spend a fortune on expensive laptops and DAWs; the free DAWs seem to be beginner friendly as well which is great news for all the beginners.

From this post, we have learnt that there are many ways to make music on your computer and how to upload it online. We have learnt that you don’t have to be a songwriter to make music as you can download covers and instrumentals you can add vocals or any other instrument from the Karaoke version website.

We have also learnt that you can make music without any physical instruments on your computer. This is great for your mixing and music production skills if you can master using midi instruments.

I hope you have enjoyed this post and you now know how to make music on your computer.

The amazing vegan population growth | 2023

Veganism has been around for years. However, today, the population of vegans is at its highest yet. As science has progressed, there have been more and more discoveries of the health benefits of veganism on the human body and the planet. Numerous vegan documentaries are all over Netflix, which are very educational.

We will discover why veganism is healthy and why it is increasing. We will look at the popularity of veganism in the UK.

Vegan population growth – vegan population growth

We are all aware of veganism, and it’s slowly taking over the food industry. We know restaurants are increasing their vegan option range, such as Aldi. Out of all the counties, the Uk has the largest vegan population because “Searches for vegan restaurants with dedicated vegan menus have tripled in the past four years.” (worldpopulationreview, 2023). This means more and more people who are interested in vegan food are increasing.

It isn’t just the general public jumping on the vegan bandwagon. There has also been an increase in vegan celebrities. Documentaries such as ‘What the Health’ which inspired Lewis Hamilton to become vegan.

Why is veganism on the rise? – vegan population growth

vegan population growth

The vegan population growth is on the rise because we are learning about how bad it is for the environment for humans to consume meat. Vegan adverts are very much in the mainstream as well, which is helping to encourage more people to try vegan food and helping to increase the vegan population growth.

Many vegan books are being published that are also great inspirations for people. A tremendous vegan book to check out is the REBEL VEGAN LIFE: A Radical Take On Veganism For A Brave New World: How to Transform Your Health & Protect The Environment With a Cruelty-Free, Plant-Based Diet (REBEL VEGAN BOOK SERIES). You should also check out the whole series of these books; I will leave a link above under ‘my book recommendations’.

Another good book to check out is ‘How Not to Die’ by Michael Gregor (link above). This book taught me the importance of veganism and what happens to the body when you eat healthy vegan food. It helped me to keep track of what foods I need to include in my diet; for example, I have learnt that broccoli can help repair your body from passive smoking, so I try to include as much broccoli in my diet as possible as I live with a smoker.

The book talks in depth about the experiments that prove the idea that meat does more harm than good to the human body. It’s truly an educational book.

Veganism is now so limitless; many years ago, there weren’t many vegan alternatives, making it very difficult for people to be vegan. However, for any meal you desire, there is a vegan option for you. You can create these recipes at home with the book ‘Anything you can cook, I can cook vegan’ (link above). The book is about having non-vegan recipes and turning them into completely vegan dishes. It tells you what ingredients you need and a step-by-step guide on making these recipes so you don’t have to miss out on your fried eggs in the morning and still be vegan.

The most vegan countries – vegan population growth

The most vegan countries
  • The first country with the most vegan population growth country is the UK. There are over 200,000 searches a month for veganism in the UK. As I live in the UK, I see plenty of vegan adverts and signs advertising new vegan products daily, so it is a huge hit here in the UK.
  • Australia has the second-biggest vegan population growth; just like the UK, more people are searching for vegan products in Australia. The reasoning behind this may be influenced by the concern for climate change and the meat industry’s environmental impact.
  • Israel is next on the list. “Nearly 5% of all Israel citizens identify as vegan and will only eat vegan food” (worldpopulationreview, 2023). In Israel, there is a lot of Meditarrannium foods which means there is a lot of produce to make vegan recipes so it is easy to be vegan in Israel. This is great news for the environment.
  • The fourth country on the list is New Zealand. In New Zealand, “nearly 15% of the population admitted to eating a meat-free diet” (worldpopulationreview, 2023). Just like in the UK, there has been a growth in veganism being googled and more people searching for vegan restaurants.
  • Next up is Switzerland. They are number one europeans with the most vegans. In “a recent survey found that nearly ⅓ of all Swiss people were actively attempting to reduce their meat consumption” (worldpopulationreview, 2023).
  • Tied at number six is Austria and Germany. These two countries have the same amout of vegan population currently and also has one of the fastest growth we have seen yet. “Germany already had a leading amount of vegetarians, but many of these citizens have started to transform to veganism” (worldpopulationreview, 2023).
  • Sweden is at number seven. The Sweds are very health concious people so veganism is definitly a popular option in Sweden.

So that completes the list of the countries with the highest vegan population. I hope this list will one day continue to grow.

Vegan trend statistics – Vegan population growth

Vegan trend statistics

In the market there are over 65,000 vegan products from 2,500 different countries. These numbers are constantly rising as the increase of veganism is growing. These numbers mean that there is a growing interest in the vegan diet. This because more celebrities and influencers are switching to veganism. There is an appeal of weight loss and a huge range of health benefits that people are interested in which is why more and more people are searching about veganism. If you are interested in learning about what are the benefits of the nutrition in a vegan diet then I would recommend the ‘Vegan Savvy: The expert’s guide to nutrition on a plant-based diet’ book. It’s a great guide on how to switch to a vegan diet without compramising your health so you don’t need to worry about if it will make you ill when you transition.

Another great weightloss book that I do recommend is Weight Loss the Vegan Way: 21-Day Meal Plan with Over 75 Easy Recipes. You can use this book to plan your recipes so you don’t have to feel stuck on what to make that is healthy and vegan.

My favourite weightloss tip is adding Acai juice to your diet. Acai juice is a superfood that is great for weightloss and it helps to boost your immune system. I like to make acai smootie bowls for breakfast. Just go easy on any kind of fruit juice as they are very high in sugar.

There are documentaries about veganism that are on main-stream platforms to help people learn more about veganism. Also, it is known that veganism helps with climate change and that has peaked interest in people because of the climate crisis that we are currently dealing with and people would like to do their part to help. If you want to learn more about how veganism helps the planet and climate change then I recommend reading Factory Farming: How Cheap Food Hurts Us, Animals, and the Environment (Climate Change, Cruelty, Vegan, Healthy); the book is to educate you on factory farming and how it damages us, animals and the earth and it has a positive strategy on how we can change that. These are the reasons to be vegan statistics.

How many vegans in the us – The vegan population growth

The veganism in the US is growing just like the rest of the world. However, there is only three percent of vegans in America. Hopefully one day there will be a bigger vegan population in America. It’s unfortuante that the USA hasn’t got the biggest vegan population as America is one of the most influencial countries in the world so if they became vegan positive then the rest of the world will definitely increase dramatically as they would want to follow Americas influence.

Conclusion – vegan population growth

We now know all about the vegan population growth and how it is very important to us as human beings, animals and the environment. We know which countries have the biggest vegan population growth and why is veganism healthy. I have also recommended some great books for you to go and check out in your spare time which I do hope you will feel inspired and educated about veganism and what your next steps will be for your vegan journey.

I hope you have enjoyed learning about the vegan population growth and you will continue to read my posts to increase your knowledge and passion for veganism.

Popular music Degree courses uk

Suppose you live in the Uk and are an aspiring musician who wants to take your music career seriously and qualify as a professional musician with a professional music degree. In that case, you must check out the best popular music degree courses UK.

This post will answer questions such as:

  • What are the most popular music degrees?
  • What are the most popular degree courses in the UK?
  • What is the best music production course in the UK?
  • Which courses are popular in UK?
  • What degree should I get if I like music?

I have two music degrees, so I will share with you the music degrees I completed, my opinion of them, what I learnt overall, and my experience at the university.

Popular music degree courses uk

So what are the popular music degree courses uk?

Bangor University has a music degree course.

It Began at Bangor

Bangor has a massive range of music degrees. It honestly made me wish I had applied here for my undergraduate degree. You can combine more than one passion. For example, you can do music and creative writing as an undergraduate degree which would’ve been the dream for my younger eighteen-year-old self.

Here is a book I recommend if you are interested in Bangor University. The book is called Bangor University, 1824 2009. I have left a link above under the heading ‘books I recommend’.

The university is in North Wales, so it’s good news if you live there. If not, then we continue our journey of recommendations of popular music degree courses UK.

PointBlank Music School – Popular music degree courses uk

Popular music degree courses uk london

Point blank music school is located in London, and they do all sorts of music courses from foundation to masters. They also do a music production degree, so if you are looking in that area, then I would check out their courses.

Music Production Degree Programmes at Point Blank

If you are interested in Music production, I have linked above under ‘book recommendations’ a book about music production if you are new to music production and want to give it a go.

University of South Wales – The best and easy way to find popular music degree courses uk

popular music degree courses uk graduation

The University of South Wales is in the centre of Cardiff in South Wales. They have music courses such as the Popular and commercial music undergraduate course. The MA Songwriting and Production course. The music engineering and production masters course. There are a few different options at the University of south wales, so I recommend this university as a good option.

The courses I took and my experience of them – Popular music degree courses uk

My graduation

I attended the University of South Wales at eighteen to start my professional music education. The undergraduate course I took was the Bmus Contemporary Music Performance degree. Unfortunately, the course doesn’t exist anymore as not enough students were applying for the course to keep it running. My year was the last one to take the course. The course lasted for three years, and the three years were organised into different modules.

The first year we would have a live performance workshop where we would once a week learn a new song and then take turns performing it in our bands. We would also have sight reading sessions where we are given a song on the day and would have to perform the song. We were allowed to practice the song for only forty-five minutes. This was my least favourite workshop as I found it so stressful. I am more of a person who likes to practice songs over a few days and feel prepared and ready for a performance.

The first year of uni also included music theory which I found enjoyable, and I even had my free vocal lessons.

In the second year, we were introduced to music production, where we learnt about using Logic Pro X. This platform is used to mix and create music digitally. This was one of my favourite modules, and It was my highest-graded module, so I was pretty good at it.

In the third and final year, we had to record our live performances, and we did our dissertations which I enjoyed because you could choose a subject that you were passionate about, so I picked how women are treated in the music industry. Researching how women are treated in the music industry was enjoyable as I found lots of topics to write about and discovered loads of stories of women being sexually harassed by their managers and the pressure to look skinny and flawless all the time when they should be focusing on creating great music.

We also did an entrepreneurial module where we got the chance to make a dummy music business idea. We had to create a website and a name for our business and what are we selling, services or product. This module is actually what inspired me to create writevegan. Back then, however, the business was just an image consultancy business specialising in musicians.

Overall, my undergraduate course was the best course for me, and I do hope there are courses out there that are just as good.

My Masters course – popular music degree courses UK

I decided to take my Masters at the University of South Wales again because the location was right for me. I took the MA Songwriting and Production course. This course is still running. I chose this course because I enjoyed the production side of music from my undergrad course, and my grade has proven that I was also good at it. The songwriting side of the masters was appealing to me because I have had a personal interest in learning how to write my music. So I went into this course with lots of performing live experience and some digital music production experience but with no songwriting experience or skill whatsoever.

So this course was a massive challenge for me. Everyone on this course was much older than I was (I was twenty-one), and they had years of songwriting experience behind them. This was difficult for me because when we had to team up and do group projects, I would feel embarrassed as I had nothing to make a significant contribution to. My strength when starting was writing words; I enjoyed lyric writing. So I hid behind this whenever I had to work in the group. I would always ask can I write the lyrics and then sing them in the final project completion.

To combat the embarrassment of not knowing correctly how to write a whole song. I would rush home and use all the resources and books the course provided to try and teach myself how to write music.

Despite the struggle, I learnt so much from the course and recommended this course if you are interested in songwriting and production as a future career.

The course is only for a year if you do it full-time. I have left a link above to one of the songwriting books I used when trying to learn about songwriting.

What are the most popular music degrees? – popular music degree courses UK

the best popular music degree courses 2023

A really popular option is perhaps to take an online music course. Burkee online is a good option for a music degree at any level. Universities aren’t for everyone, and education should be for all ages.

If I were going to return to education, I would opt for an online course. You can do it in your own time, which is great if you live a busy life.

The most popular music degrees are the Bachelor of Music (BMus) or a Bachelor of Arts (BFA).

What are the most popular degree courses in the UK? – popular music degree courses UK

For music, the most famous music degree is a bachelor’s degree. Any bachelor’s degree is a good degree. Cambridge University has a good music bachelor’s degree, and also Durham.

Point blank music schools came up the most in my research for the most famous music degree so they may have a lot of applicants for their music courses.

What is the best music production course in the UK? – Popular music degree courses UK

the best music production course in the uk

London appears to be the best place for the top music production courses. However, these courses will be pricy as the best producers and engineers tend to be based in London. A lot of students I worked with in Cardiff ended up going to London to do their music masters degree uk courses.

When I searched for ‘music degree london’, the ICMP website came up, which seemed appealing. The website helps you search for music degree courses in london that suit your skill level.

If you are looking for a huge challenge, then the goldsmiths popular music might be for you. You need three B-grade A-levels, which I could never do. I overall had three C-grade A-levels. The goldsmiths are in London, so if you want to be a London student, go for it.

Remote music degree courses – popular music degree courses UK

remote music degree courses

If University isn’t for you, you still have the passion for learning about music, whether music production or songwriting. The best place to start is on Udemy. They have many music subjects, such as music theory and audio engineering.

I like to use Udemy myself; You get an entire course of videos that take you step-by-step through whatever you want to learn. The beauty of this is:

  • pause anytime
  • Watch the tutorials when it’s convenient for you
  • rewind the videos and start them again as many times as you need to
  • You can message the expert in the tutorials for help and advice.
  • You can revisit the course content anytime you need to

Udemey often has sales and discounts on their courses; as I’m writing this post, they currently have a sale on the mixing and mastering music course, which is now sixty-seven per cent off. I’m pretty tempted.

Udemey also means that you can study remotely and you do not need to live in student accommodation, and it also means no more student debt.

Popular music courses Scotland-popular music degree courses uk

I would start by checking out the University of Glasgow as they have forty different music degree courses. Most music courses are combined with other subjects, such as literature. This is a great idea so you can study more than one interest at a time. I would’ve loved to have studied creative writing and music personally.

There is also the University of Aberdeen which has thirteen different music courses.

Conclusion – Popular music degree courses UK

We now know what are the Popular music degree courses uk and where to find them. We know to start with the Bachelor’s degree and pick a music degree course that covers your area of interest. You should have a good knowledge of what to start searching for and what courses are going to suit you the best. I would advise applying to more than one course and more than one university to avoid disappointment.

My Advice to young students looking for popular music degree courses uk

Also, if you are an A-level student who is looking to go straight from school to university, then I would suggest living in the university student accommodation. I have lived in student accommodation from the age of eighteen-twenty-one, and I have also commuted for a year for my master’s. Commuting causes you to miss out on social events and activities and spontaneous band practices; it’s also hard to plan group projects when one of you isn’t living in accommodation in the area.

Thank you for reading my post, I hope you have gained from this information, and I hope it is enjoyable as I enjoy writing these posts.

What are the 100 facts about animal abuse? Do you think you understand what goes on behind closed doors? We will learn about the different types of animal abuse, why it is a concern, and why you need to know about it.

We will learn all about animal cruelty laws and how many animals are abused yearly. Will we be surprised what animal suffers the most abuse?

Animal abuse isn’t just about physically beating an animal. A lot can be done by neglecting and abandoning animals when we decide they have become a nuisance.

100 facts about animal abuse

100 facts about animal abuse

Here is a list of the 100 facts about animal abuse. I will be quoting some facts from 100 shocking Facts About Animal Abuse Around the world; you can check out their website linked above in the sources section.

  1. Animal abuse classes as neglect and abuse which are intended to cause pain to animals caused by a human
  2. Leonardo de Vinci was concerned about animal abuse; he used to buy caged birds just to set them free.
  3. “…according to modern philosopher Nigel Warburton, the prevalent perspective has been that animals are there for humans to do as they want.” (Shamim, 2021)
  4. “Dogs employed in post-World War II battles were frequently not returned to their owners because the military feared the animals would attack a civilian. They were either put to death or abandoned on the battlefield. However, in 2000, President Bill Clinton approved legislation allowing former military canines to be adopted if their owners agreed not to hold the US government responsible for any injuries or damages caused by the dogs.”(Shamim, 2021)
  5. “Astrakhan fur, often known as karakul or broadtail, is a current trend in the fur industry. Astrakhan fur is derived from Astrakhan lambs that are slaughtered when just a few days old. Broadtail jackets, for example, are fashioned from the skin of fetal lambs. To remove the growing lamb, the mother’s neck is sliced, and her stomach is slashed.” (Shamim, 2021)
  6. It used to take around five years to graze livestock. However, now it takes six months of pasture and 14 months on a feedlot. This is because animals are being fed a rediculous amount of maize which these animals don’t eat. They are also fed protein supplements, medicines and growth hormones.
  7. “Sheep are often bred to have skin with numerous folds, allowing them to store more wool. The folds, on the other hand, attract maggots, particularly near the anus. What kind of bread do vegans eat?

What kind of bread do vegans eat?

what kind of bread do vegans eat?
What kind of bread do vegans eat?

So what kind of bread do vegans eat? As a vegan, it is difficult when craving bread, but there is a limited option on what bread you can buy in your local supermarket. Do we have no choice but to make our bread? What do you do if you’re also a gluten-free vegan? Have you ever wondered why bread isn’t vegan?

Let’s answer these many questions and what we can do as vegans to eat bread.

What kind of bread do vegans eat?

What kind of bread do vegans eat?
What kind of bread do vegans eat?

What kind of bread do vegans eat? Vegans can eat any bread as long as there are no animal products in the ingredients. Usually, a lot of bread uses egg and sometimes milk in their ingredients which is why vegans can’t just eat any old bread.

Typically it is known that vegans will gravitate towards sourdough as sourdough usually doesn’t contain animal products, but it is important always to double-check the ingredients as some manufacturers as sneaky and will use secret animal products. This means it is important to understand the terminology used to list ingredients on the back of packets. Make sure you understand the complicated words, so you know exactly what you’re eating.

A decent bread suggestion is Dillon Organic Chia Flax Keto Bread, 6 x 250g Low Carb and Gluten-Free, High Fibre and High Omega 3, A Blend of Chia, Flax, Sunflower Seeds, and Caraway Seeds. The bread is completely gluten-free and suitable for vegans. It also has no nasty chemicals, so it’s a healthy choice of bread.

What bread is not vegan? – What kind of bread do vegans eat?

non-vegan bread

There are loads of bread brands that vegans can’t consume. Here are just some of them:

  • Naan bread
  • Bagels
  • crumpets

Any bread that contains:

  • Honey
  • gelatin
  • eggs
  • milk
  • royal jelly
  • butter
  • buttermilk

When buying your bread, remember to look out for these ingredients.

Vegan bread brands at Walmart – what kind of bread do vegans eat?

We don’t have Walmart in the UK, so I researched this question. These are the vegan-friendly brands that I have discovered:

  • Dave’s killer bread
  • BFree
  • Abes
  • O’Doughs

I’m unsure how good these are, as I’ve never tried them. You’ll have to let me know on my contacts page.

Is sourdough bread vegan? – What kind of bread do vegans eat?

Sourdough bread vegan?
sourdough bread vegan?

Sourdough is usually vegan; remember to double-check the ingredients just in case.

If you are new to sourdough then here is a great book to get you started, Sourdough: Beginner’s guide for vegans.

The book shows you how to make your own sourdough which should be a cheaper and healthier option than going out and spending money on a high-profile brand.

Do vegans eat bread with yeast? – What kind of bread do vegans eat?

Bread with yeast
Bread with yeast?

Yes, vegans can eat bread with yeast, unless they are a gluten-free vegan like I am it can be even trickier to find organic, gluten-free and vegan bread.

Some vegans avoid vegans because it can cause a severe autoimmune response which can lead to extreme cases for some people who have celiac disease. Or for some people, it can cause bloating and other unpleasant digestive symptoms. In my case, I avoid it because it can cause me to break out with bad acne.

Gluten has no nutritional value anyway, so no one is missing out on anything. There are plenty of gluten-free options on the market

Is white bread vegan? – What kind of bread do vegans eat?

Some white loaves of bread are vegan, just some companies choose to use eggs or milk in their white bread, so always check the labels before you buy.

Or you can make your own at home with Keto Baker London Bread and Cake Mix – Onion Bread, Vegan, Gluten-Free, Low-Carb. The ingredients are entirely gluten-free and vegan. It is a good way to learn how to make your own foods from scratch, especially starting out as a vegan.

The YouTube video above is an example of a recipe you can follow to make your bread at home. In the description of the video, there is a list of ingredients used in this video so you can add them to your shopping list and make the bread ready for the week ahead. The ingredients in the video can be gluten-free ingredients so you can tailor the recipe to your own desire.

Can vegans eat bread and pasta?

Can vegans eat bread and pasta?
Can vegans eat bread and pasta?

We know from the above content that vegans can eat bread as long as they check the ingredients for animal products.

But what about pasta?

Most kinds of pasta are vegan but just like the bread, you need to check the ingredients list. The pasta I recommend is Explore Cuisine – Gluten Free Plant Pasta, Organic, Low Carb, High Protein, Perfect for Vegan Diets (Fava Bean Fusilli). This is the pasta that I like to use and have used since I became vegan. The pastas are made by vegan pulses such as chickpea and Fava bean which means these pastas are a great protein source in your diet. They are also gluten-free and don’t taste any different to normal pasta.

It even only takes a few minutes to cook in boiling water, not as long as regular pasta, which is an added bonus.

Conclusion

So overall, what kind of bread do vegans eat? Vegans can eat most bread, but the moral of this post is to check the ingredients list of the bread to ensure it does not contain any animal products. From experience, I mainly find bread brands tend to sneak some eggs as an emulsifier to hold all the ingredients together. It’s good to know that vegans can eat white bread and not just bread that is full of grains and seeds.

We have learnt that it is easy to make your own bread at home from scratch or by buying a mix that you can quickly whip together. I have even linked an easy-to-follow youtube video on what ingredients to buy for the bread, and it’s all filmed with step-by-step instructions easy for you to follow.

Sourdough is the most popular vegan bread for vegans. But, personally, I’m not a fan of sourdough bread, and I am still currently on the lookout for decent-tasting vegan bread. Even vegan, gluten-free and organic burger buns would be amazing.

We have also learnt that pasta is also vegan as long as you check the ingredients list before you buy, just like the bread. Pasta is also tough to buy if you are a gluten-free vegan but do check out explore cuisine, which is linked above as they do great tasting healthy pasta which is also gluten-free. The pasta tastes even better with some melted Violife vegan cheese on top.

Vegans can also eat yeast, and we have discovered a few Walmart bread brands which you can check out. This was a new thing that I have learnt today as I have never set foot in a Walmart.

If you have any questions about What kind of bread vegans eat? Then please visit my contacts page, which I have already linked above. I hope you have also been inspired to do your research on bread for vegans and maybe have a go at making your bread. Cooking is very therapeutic and I highly recommend it.

What is the best organic protein powder UK? Are you worried about not getting all the protein you need in your organic vegan diet? As a vegan, I always choose the most organic option possible for my food choices. I have tried different protein powders. I always go for the most cleanest organic protein powder I can find.

With so many different brands on the market it’s difficult to find a good organic protein powder. High profile brands tend to add secret sweeteners to make their protein powders taste better when these lab chemicals aren’t good for the body long term. The sweeteners are designed to make you addicted to the product so it makes you crave more and end up returning to the brand and buying more. So what is the best organic protein powder UK and where to we get our hands on it?

From my experience, I enjoy Pulsin Pea Protein as it’s completely natural and unflavored, so I can add it to any smoothies, desserts or soups without changing the dish’s flavour. It is also gluten-free, so it suits my diet as I am a gluten-free vegan.

The protein powder is completely invisible once it is mixed into my favourite recipes. It doesn’t change the taste or consistency in any of my meals whether it is sweet or savoury. I do tend to add it to smoothies mainly as it’s the most convenient for me. I always add 10 grams to my smoothies which worked out to be about two teaspoons. I never exactly measure it.

The ideal protein powder for women in my opinion is Free Soul Vegan Protein Powder | Formulated for Women | 600g | 20g Protein | Added Nutrients | Gluten & Soy Free Plant Based Nutrition Protein Shake | Pea and Hemp Isolate Protein (Chocolate)

In my opinion, yes, it is better for you because it guarantees that there aren’t any extra nasty chemicals added to the ingredients like emulsifiers and sweeteners as these are bad for your gut and can cause bloating, acne and digestive problems over a long period of time.

An example of a good vegan organic protein powder is naturya organic hemp protein powder; you should also check out the whole naturya range of superfoods. I enjoy multiple of naturya’s superfoods, You can check out their different options here.

I add the turmeric superblend into a detox shot that I have every morning. This consists of lemon juice, fresh ginger and naturya turmic powder. I also use their spirulina powder and wheatgrass powder In my vitamin boost smootie which I like to make with kiwi and cucumber also great for your skin and hydrates you. I use their cocoa powder for my protein powder recipe which is great to boost your cooper intake.

Which is the purest form of protein powder? – Best organic protein powder uk

purest protein powder
purest protein powder

The purest form of protein powder where there is no artificial ingredients, and it is pure natural plant protein. Any protein powder that is organic and one hundred per cent plant-based is the purest.

A good example would be Naked Vegan Protein Powder Super Blend (1kg – 57 Servings) Unsweetened, with Vital Minerals, Organic Plant Based Protein with Omega Blend & Botanical Essentials, Dairy Free, Plain & Unflavoured 1kg as I have mentioned above. There aren’t any nasty ingredients. A good way to tell if they don’t contain bad chemicals is if any of the words are too difficult to pronounce, then they are probably chemicals from a lab and they aren’t clean and organic.

Which brand organic powder are best? – best organic protein powder uk

which brand organic powder are best

I believe that Sevenhills wholefoods organic raw protein powder is entirely raw and has no allergy ingredients, completely gluten-free and vegan. Suitable for everyone. The brand also has a goal of protecting the planet, so their packaging is also recyclable.

The brand is a small business, so it’s super important to check out their website. Always support small businesses and avoid shopping at popular branded companies, as big brands tend to use non-environmental packaging and sweatshops, which isn’t good for humans or the planet. Always support your small businesses and do your research on where your money is going first.

The best protein powder uk reddit – best organic protein powder uk

Looking through Reddit, I have seen whey protein powder mentioned a lot. However, their protein powder isn’t organic, and not all of their powders are vegan, so personally, I wouldn’t recommend this.

I don’t recommend looking for an organic protein powder on Reddit, but I have found this organic and vegan gluten-free protein powder on amazon called Nutrizing. They are an award-winning vegan pea protein powder and the only ingredient in the powder is pure pea protein. Nothing else is added to its very healthy and clean.

Which type of protein powder is the healthiest?-best organic protein powder uk

The healthiest protein powder will be any protein powder that hasn’t got anything added. No emulsifier or added sugars and artificial colours to make the powder taste good.

I recommend getting a protein powder that isn’t flavoured so you can hide it in your favourite smoothie or meals and gain extra grams of protein without ruining your favourite meals.

An excellent example of a healthy protein powder is No Evil Nutrition Organic Vegan Protein Powder. It’s completely clean, and gluten-free, with no gums, and no sweeteners. The protein powder is unflavored so you can add it to anything. The ingredients are only organic pea protein, organic rice protein, organic maca powder, and organic Siberian ginseng powder. All-natural protein and completely healthy.

  • Chia seeds
  • peanut butter
  • gluten-free organic oats

You can mix protein powder with some oats and peanut butter and banana to make a delicious sweet and high protein breakfast. Don’t be afraid of peanut butter as yes it is fatty but it’s healthy fat just like coconut oil.

You can learn all about how to create high protein vegan meals in the Meal prep and meatless power cookbook for vegan athletes: 200 High Protein Recipes to be Muscular and Plant-Based Diet Meal Plans for Beginners (2 in 1 Collection with pictures) A great way to start a high protein vegan diet.

Another great book suggestion is The High Protein Vegan Cookbook: But Where Do You Get Your Protein?

The book is suitable for anyone and not just for sporty individuals looking to bulk. It helps you find vegan foods to include in meals to ensure you get your daily healthy amount of protein.

Conclusion – best organic protein powder uk

To conclude. The healthiest and the best organic protein powder UK has got to be either Pulsin or Wyssdon, as they are clean, vegan, organic and gluten-free. It is best to avoid flavoured protein powders as they tend to add artificial sweeteners, which aren’t good for you and aren’t great for weight loss.

It’s best to add an unflavored protein powder to your favourite smoothie or meal in the morning. I like to make a banana and peanut butter vegan milkshake in the morning, and I just add my Pulsin pea protein to it; you can’t taste it, and it doesn’t change the milkshake in any way.

I also sometimes make protein powder brownies which just consist of, three bananas, Pulsin protein powder, Organic cocoa powder, peanut butter, flaxseed, coconut yoghurt and maple syrup.

This is a great, quick protein snack. However, it is important that you don’t just rely on protein powders to get your daily protein. As I have mentioned above, always make high-protein meals that contain high-protein ingredients like tofu and chickpeas.

Also, avoid high profile brands such as whey protein as they don’t use organic ingredients and most of your money will be paying for the brand name rather than the quality and health benefits of the actual powder. Try and spend your money on small businesses instead as they tend to use more natural and healthy ingredients which is cleaner and safer for you and the environment.

Organic is better for you so always check the ingredients before you buy the protein powder even if it does say organic. Avoid emulsifiers, gums and artificial sweeteners. Chemicals are usually the really complicated word in the ingredients that you can’t pronounce that is the unhealthy and non-organic ingredient that you want to avoid.

The best Holland and Barrett vegan chocolate
The best Holland and Barrett vegan chocolate

Do you like to shop at Holland and Barrett? Have you ever tried vegan chocolate from Holland and Barrett? Well, I would like to share my favourite vegan chocolate brands at Holland and Barrett. I’m a huge chocolate lover, but I also want to keep it as healthy as possible when it comes to chocolate. I believe holland and Barrett are known to be expensive. With some products, this is the case. However, not all the products I discuss in this post will break the bank.

Best vegan chocolate -Holland and Barrett vegan chocolate

In my opinion, as a loyal Holland and Barrett customer, the best holland and Barrett vegan chocolate are Nomo. Nomo is a vegan chocolate brand who also are safe for nut allergy sufferers (please check each product for nuts, just in case)

They have so many delicious flavours; my favourite flavour is the chocolate orange. You can check out the range of their chocolate here. They also do AMAZING easter eggs and little easter bunnies, which taste just as good as the chocolate bars.

The chocolate is way better than aldi vegan chocolate and lindt vegan chocolate.

Is dark chocolate vegan?

Some dark chocolate is vegan if it hasn’t got any milk. A tremendous organic dark chocolate at Holland and Barrett is Raw vegan Dark and salted caramel raw chocolate 22g, which is only 99p.

Vegan chocolate chips

I don’t usually buy chocolate chips, but Holland and Barrett do have vegan rice chocolate drops, which are chocolate chips.

Which brands of chocolate are vegan?

  • Nomo
  • Love raw
  • Daisy Dam
  • Vego
  • Booja Booja
Conclusion – Holland and Barrett vegan chocolate

So overall, in my opinion, the best holland and Barrett vegan chocolate are Nomo. A few other favourites I have tried are Deliciously Ella chocolate cups.

It’s now up to you to go out to Holland and Barrett to try all their vegan chocolate and decide for yourself what is the best in your opinion. Will you agree with me?

why do vegans want everyone to be vegan

Why do vegans want everyone to be vegan? | 2023

why do vegans want everyone to be vegan?
Why do vegans want everyone to be vegans?

Why do vegans want everyone to be vegan? What is so essential that everyone must change their diets and lifestyles overnight? We will learn all about the hype of veganism, including the pros and cons of being vegan.

We will also learn the difference between vegetarian and vegan, as in my experience of being vegan, many people confuse the two. We will also discuss the environment health benefits.

100 reasons to go vegan

Why do vegans want everyone to be vegan? Here are 100 reasons.

  1. Reduces the risk of cancer
  2. reduces the risk of heart disease
  3. reduces the risk of strokes
  4. reduces obesity
  5. reduces the risk of heart attacks
  6. longer lifespan
  7. increases energy
  8. increases stamina during workouts
  9. Humans have a herbivore anatomy
  10. doesn’t hurt animals
  11. reduces emissions
  12. kind to the environment
  13. lowers cholesterol
  14. lowers blood pressure
  15. more sustainable
  16. reduces the strain on food
  17. smaller carbon footprint
  18. no salmonella
  19. lower rates of hypertension
  20. we can survive as vegans
  21. meat rots in your intestines
  22. Meat doesn’t fully digest in our stomachs
  23. Diary contains puss
  24. Dairy can cause acne
  25. dairy can make you fat
  26. Meat is contaminated with faeces
  27. “Meat-producing livestock consumes vast quantities of crops that could feed people.”
  28. “A meat-centred diet requires burning 3 times more fossil fuels than a meat-free diet. The burning of fossil fuels results in the greenhouse effect, which produced global warming.”
  29. “If every human ate a meat-centred diet, the world’s known oil reserves would last only 13 years. Oil reserves would last 260 years if humans stopped eating meat altogether.”
  30. Stop overfishing
  31. “Every year, 24,000 fishermen worldwide die on the job, making fishing the most dangerous occupation in the world, according to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the U.N. In the U.S., a fisherman is 16 times as likely to die as a policeman or fireman.”
  32. “Half of every butchered cow and a third of every pig become by-product material or waste. In addition, 920 million animals die on U.S. factory farms before reaching slaughter.”
  33. “Our modern dairy cow lives with an unnaturally swelled and sensitive udder, is likely never allowed out of her stall, is milked up to three times a day, and is kept pregnant nearly all of her abbreviated life.”
  34. Dairy farmers artificially impregnate cows, and once the calf is born, they kill the calf so the farmers can keep all the milk to sell.
  35. “A commercial egg-laying hen is kept crammed with four to eight other birds for life inside a small wire cage. The birds remain tortured and frustrated as their eggs fall through the wire mesh to roll out of reach but not out of sight. Egg laying is such a personal matter that a hen seeks privacy when performing the function.”
  36. Because of animal agriculture, the world sees a global pandemic of influenza three or four times per century. Ducks are often the original incubators for a new subtype. In turn, pigs can periodically act as hosts for both avian viruses and human ones. Within the pigs’ lungs, the transspecies viruses swap genetic material, creating a new strain that may be passed back to humans. Historically, the most fertile place for this to happen has been south China, where billions of pigs, domesticated ducks, and people all live near one another.”
  37. “In any factory-farm operation, a percentage of the animals are sick or crippled. The industry calls them “downers.” Federal law does not protect them in any way. Downers are dealt with conveniently. Veterinary care is not wasted on them. If unable to walk, a downer is often dragged by a chain or pushed by a tractor or forklift to slaughter. Such animals may be left to starve or freeze to death.”
  38. reduces the risk of coronary disease
  39. reduces the risk of dementia
  40. reduces the risk of Alzheimer’s disease
  41. Reduce the risk of osteoporosis.
  42. Meat makes you age faster.
  43. “At least one in every five U.S. cow herds is believed to be infected with Johne’s disease. The infection is increasingly being linked to Crohn’s disease in people, a condition of chronic diarrhea, which requires victims to have parts of their intestines removed periodically.”
  44. “Antibiotic resistance: To control staph infections and other diseases, livestock consume 55% of all antibiotics used in the U.S. As do humans, livestock build up immunities to these antibiotics, and the meat goes to market infected, presenting a health hazard to the public.”
  45. “Less than one out of every 250,000 slaughtered animals is tested for toxic chemical residues”.
  46. “99% of U.S. mother’s milk contains significant levels of DDT. In stark contrast, only 8% of U.S. vegetarian mother’s milk containing significant levels of DDT. This shows that the primary source of DDT is the meat ingested by the mothers.”
  47. “Contamination of breast milk due to chlorinated hydrocarbon pesticides in animal products found in meat-eating mothers versus vegetarian mothers is 35 times higher.”
  48. Mercury in sea food – toxic to humans

Why do vegans want everyone to be vegan Reddit

Why do vegans want everyone to be vegan? Sometimes for religious reasons. For example, Pythagoras believed in reincarnation and that humans could return as animals and vice versa, so he couldn’t eat animals.

People usually want people to be vegan to protect animals, as they don’t need to die to feed us, as humans who can survive on a vegan diet.

5 reasons to go vegan

The five main reasons to go vegan are:

  • to improve health
  • help climate change
  • to stop animal cruelty
  • improve your life
  • help the environment

10 reasons to be vegan

The ten main reasons to be vegan:

  • not support animal cruelty
  • weight loss
  • feel better

  • help the environment
  • prevent cancer
  • prevent strokes
  • prevent heart attacks
  • help with climate change
  • increase lifespan

why is being vegan good for the environment

vegan weight loss

Why do vegans want everyone to be vegan? It is crucial right now to do everything we can to help the environment as climate change is increasingly getting worse and natural disasters are becoming incredibly common, so more people are suffering and dying.

There is so much waste and burning of fossil fuels when producing meat. This isn’t necessary to grow fruit and vegetables.

Scientific reasons to go vegan

  • lowers heart disease and cholesterol

pros and cons of being vegan

Why do vegans want everyone to be vegan? We know the pros, as I have listed above. But what are the cons?

  • Vegan fast food can be expensive
  • being vegan can cause conflict with some meat eaters
  • meat eaters believe that vegans think they are ‘better than them.’
  • You have to check the labels if you are buying products in the packaging

Conclusion

For more inspiration and the benefits of being vegan, please check out the book ‘How not to Die‘. This book has taught me much about veganism and how it improves my health. The information is backed up by science and talks about many experiments/studies that were taken place to prove that a vegan diet can help prevent diseases such as cancer.

If you are vegetarian, you must switch to vegan because the difference between vegan and vegetarian is that vegetarians do consume dairy, which is still harming animals necessarily and harming the environment.

I hope my reasons for becoming vegan have convinced you to change and join the vegan side. To understand how veganism will help with climate change, please check out this kindle edition book here.

Also, I mentioned Tabitha Brown above, so here is a link to her book. Hopefully, you will research her story about being vegan.

David Attenborough animal documentaries
David Attenborough animal documentaries

If you are British, you will most likely be familiar with David Attenborough and his inspiring documentaries. I am writing this blog post about David Attenborough animal documentaries because, in my research for the latest vegan news, I have discovered that the BBC has stopped airing David Attenborough’s new documentary called ‘Wild Isles’. After all, they had a backlash against how farming is impacting wildlife.

What are the names of David Attenborough’s documentaries?

David Attenborough is a famous broadcaster, biologist and author who is well-known for his documentaries on the BBC and Netflix; he has a recent documentary called ‘Wild Isles’, which you can also check out the book here. The book is about the BBC tv series Wild Isles.

David Attenborough has other documentaries such as:

  • Blue Planet – You can watch Blue Planet here on Amazon Prime Video. Start your 30-day trial, which you can cancel anytime. (david attenborough best documentaries)
  • Blue Planet 2
  • Climate change the Facts (david attenborough documentary on climate change)
  • Natural world
  • Light on Earth
  • Life in colour
  • Dinosaurs: The Final day
  • Extinction: the facts
  • A Life on our planet (david attenborough documentaries netflix)
  • Life in the undergrowth

  • Attenborough’s journey
  • Attenborough and the giant elephant
  • Attenborough’s wonder of song
  • Attenborough and the mammoth graveyard
  • A perfect planet
  • Seven worlds one planet
  • Breaking Boundaries: The science of our planet
  • Wild Isles (david attenborough documentaries 2023)

These are just some documentaries; I am sure I have missed a few.

Where can I find David Attenborough documentaries? BBC Backlash

As I have mentioned in the introduction, I would like to discuss the reason I was inspired to write this blog post. The BBC has denied pulling the David Attenborough documentary (Wild Isles) over a rightwing backlash. The BBC has been accused of silencing the conversation about the impact of farming on wildlife.

David Attenborough addresses an essential message about agriculture harming the planet. The BBC wanted to silence the political notice to avoid backlash. Attenborough does also highlight the good parts of agriculture but is mainly highlighting what needs to change.

The BBC denies hiding the sixth episode and claims that only five episodes were meant to be broadcasted and the sixth episode was always planned to be an IPlayer-only episode.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you believe the BBC was silencing Attenborough? Or do you think the episode meant to educate people about how farming is part of climate change issues and the destruction of species on our planet happens to be the BBC IPlayer-only episode?

Conclusion- David Attenborough animal documentaries

So now you know about David Attenborough animal documentaries and where to watch david attenborough documentaries. We know about the David attenborough netflix documentaries and his latest documentary wild Isles and we have some understanding with the drama with Wild Isles and the BBC.

I hope you watch at least one of Attenborough’s and also check out some of attenborough’s tv shows on amazon prime, which is linked above.

aldi vegan products uk
Aldi vegan products uk

Are you a regular Aldi customer and want to know the best vegan products in the business? Have you heard about the recent exciting news Aldi has launched? Aldi is a popular supermarket in the UK well known for their cheap products. We are going to find out what are Aldi vegan products UK.

Aldi Vegan Products UK

Have you heard? Aldi is reducing their animal products range and is to expand their vegan products range to one thousand. So let’s get our aldi vegan list ready. Aldi already has over seven hundred vegan products. Such as aldi vegan crisps:

  • Snackrite prawn cocktail
  • Snackrite Ready Salted
  • Snackrite Salt and vinegar

I found these vegan crisps on their website. Unfortunatelly I couldn’t find any aldi vegan cake uk on their website.

Aldi vegan desserts

desserts

I visited Aldi’s website and searched for vegan desserts. Disappointingly I only discovered two desserts. Dessert menu raspberry flavour jelly are the only vegan desserts I could find. They also only have them in two flavours, Strawberry and Raspberry.

Aldi vegan biscuits

Unfortunately just like the desserts I was disappointed with the vegan biscuit range I discovered on their website. They only had Rich Tea biscuits. Hopefully when they get the new vegan range in there will be more options.

Aldi vegan cheese

On Aldi’s website there isn’t any cheese for vegans whatsoever. And they don’t even have any tofu. From my research Aldi doesn’t have much of a range so I am glad that they will be introductong one thousand more products in the future.

Is Lidl or Aldi better for vegans?

Between lidl and aldi, Aldi is the favourite for vegan shoppers because of the great aldi January vegan food sales. Aldi even launches twocourse vegan valentines day.

Is Aldi peanut butter vegan?

Yes Aldi’s peanut butter is vegan and they do have a number of different brands on their website for you to choose from.

Conclusion

whole food plant based
whole food plant based

So overall we have discovered that Aldi vegan products uk haven’t got the best choice for vegans currently. They do have a small vegan range that does include vegan butter and vegan meat alternatives with their ‘Plant menu’ range.

You can still achieve a vegan diet if you want to shop at Aldi. You can do this by buying whole foods and vegetables from Aldi. They do have a range of organic vegetables and fruit which you can use to create your own vegan recipes with. This is also a more healthier option than buying the processed vegan meat alternatives.

Learn all about the importance of having a whole food plant based diet in one of my favourite and most inspirational healthy vegan books called ‘How not to Die’ by Micheal Greger. You can check out his book here. This book is packed full of facts on what whole foods does to the human body and how being vegan could save your life.

Vegan influencers uk

Who are the vegan influencers in the UK? Can you name any? In this post, we will find out all about the best vegan Instagram UK; who are the vegan influenceers uk? And what kind of content do vegan Influencers uk create? In the vegan industry, we have beauty content, food and lifestyle. So we will learn about vegan beauty girl, vegan blogger London and Instagram influencers in the united kingdom.

Vegan influencers on Instagram

There are lots of different influencers on Instagram. The first influencer I have come across in my research is Fearne Cotton, who is a vegan. Scrolling through her Instagram, I noticed her content isn’t all about veganism; her content is based on being calm and promoting mental wellness. She has content about her podcast ‘Happy Place’. The vibe I receive from her content is a positive mental attitude which is great, but I wouldn’t say she is a heavy vegan influencer.

The second vegan influencer Uk I want to talk about is Niomi Smart, who I have mentioned in my previous posts as Naomi was my first spark of inspiration to be vegan back in 2019. On her YouTube channel, she has multiple videos of what she eats in a day which includes how she cooks and prepares her vegan meals.

Vegan influencers UK – smart skin intro

Niomi also has her vegan skin-care brand called My Smart Skin which I am yet to try myself, you can view the products in the video above. As Niomi mentions in the video, they are vegan, cruelty-free and they do work.

She also has a cook book called Eat Smart which you can check out here. You can make delicious vegan recipes from her delicious salted caramel ice-cream. Niomi also supports vegan clothing which is quite rare for a vegan influencer. She tries on vegan friendly clothing in her vlogs.

Just like Fearne Cotton Niomi promotes a positive mental attitude and well-being, she demonstrates how she takes care of her body and mind in her vlogs by doing yoga and journaling.

Third vegan influencer I have been influenced by is Rachel Ama. I have enjoyed watching her cooking vlogs where she makes really delicious vegan recipes that I have tried and enjoyed myself. I love that she uses such clean and whole fruits and vegetables to create her recipes which is key to a healthy vegan lifestyle.

Marta Canga is another one of our vegan influencers UK. She is a sustainable fashion and lifestyle blogger, passionate about eco and imperfect green living. Her content on YouTube includes evening routines using sustainable and vegan products which I personally enjoy as I like learning about new vegan cruelty-free products on the market and getting inspired to try them.

Another great vegan influencer is Jess beautician. Her content on her YouTube channel is all about what vegan food she eats ina day and what recipes she likes to make for her breakfast, lunch and dinner. Her Instagram is all about different vegan products from night cream to vegan food products.

Top vegan influencers

The top well known vegan influencers in my opinion are:

  • Bosh
  • Gaz Oakley
  • Earthling Ed

I am very familiar with the brand Bosh. I know the brand after trying the vegan cakes I had for previous birthday’s. They have their very own vegan cookbook, which you can check out here.

Gaz Oakley is in my list of top influencers because he has a great vegan cookbook which you can check in the link in the conclusion. The recipes in his book are full of protein and have no fancy ingredients and the recipes are great for meal prep and quick to make. This is great for me as I have a packed schedule most of the time, and I like to keep healthy when on the go, but I also need my food prep to be quick.

Earthling Ed is one of the best vegan influencers the UK because he is a vegan educator; this is so important in my opinion cause I would love to eliminate the negative connotations surrounding the word vegan that make non-vegans dislike us because they think that vegans think they are above non-vegans which isn’t always the case. He is a vegan activist from the UK and is widely known for his viral debates, speeches and video essays. He has a book called This is Vegan propaganda (and other lies the meat industry tells you); please check it out here.

Vegan Influencer Eats Meat

Alyse parker was a vegan for four and a half years. She is the type of person who loves to experiment and try new things all the time, for example, she enjoys things like not washing her hair for a month and seeing what happens when she doesn’t wear deodorant for a year.

Unfortunately, Alyse was inspired to try the carnivore diet after being encouraged by one of her friends. Hopefully one day she will return to the vegan diet soon.

Vegan Beauty Girl – Vegan influencers UK

The Vegan Beauty girl is Nicole Whittle. She is a vegan blogger, just like me. She has been vegan since 2007, so she has way more experience with veganism than I have. Nicole explores sustainable alternative products so no vegan can miss out on anything.

She promotes vegan products on her blog and even talks about vegan hairdressers, which I believe is a topic that isn’t mentioned enough.

Who is the Vegan TikTok Influencer?

Tabitha Brown is a well-known vegan influencer on TikTok after the viral video she posted on FaceBook that involved her being enthusiastic about a vegan product she bought.

Tabitha became vegan after watching the Netflix documentary What the Health, just like a few celebrities in my previous post-Vegan Celebrities UK.

In the video below, Tabitha explains how and why she became vegan after consuming a heavy animal-based diet.

Why I went vegan: Tabitha Brown.

Instagram Influencers on the Rise

It’s hard to predict who will be the next big thing on Instagram, as anyone can rise to fame with just one viral video overnight. But there is evidence that social media influencers are becoming household names rather than our average musician and actor.

It takes a lot of effort to build a following, and not many people can achieve it. So the talent for building an audience is recognised, and these influencers eventually become celebrities.

Influencer marketing is on the rise as businesses use social media for advertising their products, as it’s the best way for businesses to reach their target audiences.

Who is the biggest vegan influencer? – Vegan Influencers UK

Who is the biggest vegan influencer?
Who is the biggest vegan influencer?

If we are talking about the biggest vegan influencer with the most followers, Niomi takes that crown. She has over three million followers and subscribers across her social media pages.

Niomi Smart was part of the well-known gang of British YouTubers back in 2010-2016; the British YouTubers included Zoella (Zoe Sugg), ThatcherJoe (Joe Sugg), Alfie Deyes, Marcus Butler, Jim Chapman, Louise Pentland and Tanya Burr.

The British YouTubers shared similar audiences and built their followers together as their content was viral. This is why Niomi has the most significant following, as she was part of that great YouTube period when YouTubers became more on the level of celebrities.

Who is the plant-based influencer in the UK? – Vegan Influencers UK

I’m afraid I am going to mention Niomi Smart once again, as she is the original social media influencer in the UK. She promotes sustainability and cruelty-free products and the importance of mental well-being.

Niomi was before veganism was a trend and had input on the trend’s rise.

Which celebrity influencers are vegan?

  • Niomi Smart
  • Ariana Grande
  • Gordon Ramsey
  • Ellie Goulding

Conclusion – Vegan Influencers UK

We now know who are the vegan influencers uk are. Who is the most poular and who has the most followers. We have discovered vegan influencers on Tik Tok and why Tabitha Brown decided to become vegan.

I hope you go and check out each influnencer and their amazing content, go and get inspired to try new vegan things.

Also, here is the link to The 22-Day Revolution: The plant-based programme that will transform your body, reset your habits, and change your life, which appeared twice in the video. The book helped inspire Beyonce and Steve Harvey.

Becoming vegan can help you lose weight because meat and dairy products are high in saturated fats. These fats clog the arteries and increase cholesterol. Proof that you do not need meat in order to have a healthy and balanced diet.

If you are looking to go plant-based to lose weight, then I recommend the plant-based cook book by deliciously Ella. The book is an easy-to-follow guide to creating great recipes for you and your family. I love the snacks by Deliciously Ella; my favourite is the Deliciously Ella cups as a great snack.

These historians were vegan before the term was even invented. Pythagoras inspired many people to become vegan as he believed that slaughtering animals encouraged war. You can read more about Pythagoras in my previous post ‘Pythagoras vegan quote‘.

If Albert Einstein was smart enough to choose to be vegan, then so should you.

Famous Vegans Who Died of Cancer

Linda McCartney, unfortunately, was a victim of breast cancer. Linda McCartney was a passionate vegan, and her vegan food business still lives on.

Olivia-Newton John turned vegan after her Cancer returned. Unfortunately, cancer caused her to lose her life in 2022.

Robin Gibb died from Colon Cancer at the age of 62. He was a vegan.

A plant-based diet can reduce cancer risk but can’t cure it. You have less chance of developing cancer as a vegan than as a meat eater.

Famous Vegan Athletes

Famous vegan athletes

Who are our famous vegan athletes?

  • The Willams sisters (Venus and Serena) Venus, the tennis pro, went plant-based after being diagnosed with Sjogren’s Syndrome, an autoimmune disease.
  • Lewis Hamilton – Formula 1 champion who became vegan after watching the Netflix documentary ‘What the Health.’
  • Meagan Duhamel – a Canadian athlete and figure skater, went vegan in 2008 after being inspired by the book ‘Skinny Bitch’ which you can check out here.

Who is the most famous vegan?

vegans

It is hard to pick which person is the most famous vegan; however, in my research, I have noticed that Billie Eilish’s name pops up the most, as well as Beyonce’s. Both celebrities are well-known for different reasons, so in my opinion, there isn’t the most famous vegan.

Is Emma Watson A vegan?

To my surprise, Emma Watson isn’t vegan or vegetarian. She does, however, limit the amount of meat that she does consume. It’s surprising to me as she is an animal rights activist, and to me, it would make sense to be vegan. Hopefully, in the future, Emma Watson will become vegan.

Is Jennifer Lopez A vegan?

vegan celebrities uk

Yes, Jennifer Lopez is vegan! She claims only eating plant-based foods has given her more energy, and she feels so much better because she is eating a lot more greens. As Lopez mentions in the video, being vegan helped her lose the stubborn baby fat she struggled to lose on an animal-based diet.

It is well known that people lose a lot of weight when transitioning to vegan. Meat is a huge problem for people gaining weight.

Is Zac Efron A vegan?

No, Zac Efron isn’t vegan. Unfortunately, he is now on a protein-heavy diet that includes animal products. His body ‘wasn’t processing vegetables’. Efron was a vegan for two years before he switched back. It is a surprise and a little disappointing because he spoke so positively about the benefits he experienced during the transition to a vegan. “[It’s] completely changed the way that my body works, and the way that I metabolise food, the way it turns into energy, the way that I sleep” (Chiorando M. 2022)

Zac Efron was originally inspired to be vegan by his co-host during his time on Down-to-Earth.

Who is the most famous vegan man?

According to Google, Moby is the most famous vegan man because he has a high profile. Unfortunately, he isn’t part of our vegan celebrities UK community. Mony is also an animal advocate which is what we like to hear.

Moby cut out of meat at nineteen (the same age I turned vegan) because of his pet cat Tucker. The probably the cutest reason I could find to become vegan, and I understand as a cat owner. Turning vegan was important to Moby because he wanted to protect his cat from any harm. He connected with not wanting to eat his cat and questioning why it is ok to eat other animals.

As Moby is such a passionate vegan, he even opened up his vegan restaurant called ‘Little Pine’. He donated all of the profits that the restaurant made to animal rights organisations.

Imagine if everyone thought like this and how wonderful the world would be.

Moby even has vegan tattoos from well-known vegan tattoo artist Kat Von D. If you don’t know about Kat Von D, she isn’t just a vegan tattoo artist. She even has an excellent vegan makeup business which I have mentioned in my posts. Most of the makeup I use is from Kat von D. She also has a tremendous vegan shoe selection.

Conclusion Vegan celebrities UK

To conclude, we now know who are our vegan celebrities UK. We also expanded outside of vegan celebrities UK and found international vegan celebrities all over the globe. We have been inspired by the before and after results of a vegan diet for celebrities and what inspired them to become vegan in the first place.

What I have learnt from researching and writing this post is that many people believe that being vegan means that you are untouched by diseases such as cancer and heart disease, but this is not true. Being plant-based will only reduce the chances of developing these diseases. It doesn’t make you invincible it just gives you a longer and healthier life compared to a meat-based diet.

Another thing that I have learnt from writing and researching for this post is how amazing being vegan is for weight loss. Most of the celebrities we impressed with the amount of weight they lost when they made the switch and how their cholesterol dropped to a healthy level. I noticed that a few celebrities said they had more energy and that, overall, they felt better.

We know about celebrities who used to be vegan but unfortunately switched back to animal products. For example, Simon Cowell from our vegan celebrities UK. Hopefully, in the future, when the importance of being vegan is taken more seriously, our fake vegans will return to real vegans.

I hope learning about what athletes are vegan has proven to you that being vegan doesn’t make you weak and in fact, it makes you stronger and have more energy.

We have also discovered what singers are vegan and which male celebrities are vegan.

What are the 5 basic of skin care? For the best skin | 2023

what are the 5 basic of skin care?
what are the 5 basic of skin care

What are the 5 basic of skin care? There are so many beauty products on the market, and many people struggle to know what is best for their skin and where to start. What is the order of application steps to take? Today we will learn what are the 5 basic of skin care?

I want to discuss a simple skincare routine night. A simple skincare routine for 30s.

What are the 5 basic of skin care?

what are the 5 basic of skin care?

  • remove makeup and/or wash your face
  • cleanse
  • tone
  • moisturise
  • eye cream

That is the five basic step-by-step rule for a skincare routine.

What is skin care?

The definition of skincare in the oxford dictionary is the use of cosmetics to care for your skin.

People usually use products to improve the quality of their skin or to reach specific skin goals, such as controlling acne, reducing oil or slowing down the appearance of wrinkles.

In this post, we are focusing on what are the 5 basic of skin care?

Basic skin care routine and where to start? What are the 5 basic of skin care?

Are you new to skin care routine and have no idea what are the 5 basic of skin care? There is so much misinformation on the internet right now, and it’s not clear what would be suitable for your skin. I recommend Skin Care The New Edit by Caroline Hiron.

This book is a great guide. Whether you are a newbie to skincare or a pro, there is plenty of new things to learn. Take advice from an established industry expert and aesthetician; she knows what works, what doesn’t, what you need and what you do not.

Daily skin care routine at home

In my research, I have found a nine step daily routine that in my opinion covers all areas of skin care and it works well for all ages in.

The Perfect 9-Step Skincare Routine

  1. Wash your face. Morning and night, rinse your face with water and rub a small amount of gentle cleanser between clean palms. …
  2. Apply toner. …
  3. Apply serum. …
  4. Apply eye cream. …
  5. Use spot treatment. …
  6. Moisturize. …
  7. Apply retinoid. …
  8. Apply face oil.
  9. sunscreen

I found this routine from(MasterClass, 2021).

My skin care routine

I use a similar skincare routine to the perfect 9-step skincare routine. I wash my face with Dr organic deep pore face wash. I use this face wash as it’s vegan and cruelty-free. The face wash is a cleanser that helps with spot-prone skin like mine. Before washing my face at night, I do remove my makeup with organic coconut oil as this is so gentle and moisturising for the skin and great for removing makeup around the eyes without stinging or damaging my eyes. After removing my makeup, I use my dr organic with an exfoliating brush to remove dead skin cells and any stubborn makeup from my face that could cause spots.

My second step is cleansing with Vitaskin cleansing balm. I like to double cleanse because I am quite an active person, and I frequently do sweaty workouts, so it’s important to double cleanse. I also love this cleansing balm because it feels amazing to apply. It’s so silky and smooth on the skin even after rinsing it off; it leaves the skin feeling soft. I highly recommend it.

I know that the nine-step skincare above-the-spot treatment is the sixth step, but I must use my spot treatment after cleansing because I need to wash it off. As you can see from the previous steps, I do favour products that come with a spot treatment. This is because I have spot-prone skin. So for my spot treatment step, I like to use the Vitaskin B Blemish Control gel cleanser. Yes, it is another cleanser, but I use it for the spot treatment alone. The cleanser has the added benefit of Eucalyptus which is used to remove blemish causing sebum and it leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth.

My fourth step would be to apply my toner. The toner I use is also by Dr Organic. The toner also cleanses, reduces shine, reduces oil, reduces pores and clears the skin.

My next step is to apply the serum. For night time I use Vitaskin vitamin A rejuvenating night serum. This serum is packed in retinal and carrot seed oil. This is amazing for the skin and will help slow down ageing. For the daytime, the serum I like to use is the Vitaskin Vitamin B Mattifying Hydration Serum.

This Vitamin B mattifying serum is rich in Niacinamide, which is known to help to reduce the appearance of redness and spots. It helps to regulate sebum and improve the appearance of blemishes associated with spot-prone skin like mine. Panthenol leaves skin soft, smooth, and deeply hydrated.

My sixth step is applying eye cream. I feel like younger people overlook this step, but it is just as essential to start early with eye cream to avoid early ageing and slow down the sign of wrinkles before they even start. Again I love to use Vitaskin. I use the Vitaskin vitamin C lifting Eye Cream for my morning and night routine. The Eye cream is packed with vitamin C and botanical extracts that help brighten and lighten dark circles around the eyes. The eye cream formula visibly enhances and plumps the skin around the eyes and keeps the skin soft.

My seventh step is finally moisturising. You can guess by now what brand I use for my moisturiser. I use Vitaskin, The Vitaskin Vitamin A Daily Protect SPF Moisturiser. The moisturiser is infused with Botanical oils, and I only use this moisturiser during the day because it has an SPF15 included, which is essential for protecting your skin from the harmful sun rays which can cause premature ageing and skin Cancer. The moisturising is so intense I have never had any issues with dry skin when using this moisturiser.

For the night, I like to use the Vitaskin vitamin C Collagen Boosting Night Cream. This night cream is very hydrating, and it is a good option if you are looking to stop the sign of wrinkles, as it has collagen-boosting properties.

My Eighth step in my skincare routine is to apply retinal. This is an important step not just in your skincare but also in your diet. Retinal helps with cell renewal, and these properties are in leafy green vegetables; renewing cells is essential for the body to help age healthily. For this step, I use Vitaskin Vitamin A intense Cell Renewal Oil. This is packed with vitamins A and E to keep the skin looking young.

My Ninth step is face oil. I like to use Dr Organic Vitamin E Pure Oil Complex. This is because it’s so moisturising and great for scars which are excellent for me as I get spots quickly, and they can sometimes scar my face.

You do not need to follow this routine. You can stick with, What are the 5 basic of skin care?

5-step skin care routine night: What are the 5 basic of skin care?

For the night routine, you don’t have to follow the many steps above. That was just an example to spark inspiration and to create an idea of what you could do for your routines morning or night.

A simple night routine could be as follows:

  • Remove makeup with the makeup remover of your choice.
  • Wash face and exfoliate
  • apply cleanser
  • apply toner
  • apply moisturiser

If you don’t wear makeup, then you can skip the first step but remember to wash your face morning and evening, even if you don’t wear makeup. This is another option for: what are the 5 basic of skin care?

5 step skin care routine Korean?

For a simple Korean skin care routine is double cleansing, exfoliating, sheet masking, toner, essence, serum, eye cream and face cream. 5 step Korean skin care:

  • double cleanse
  • Toner
  • Treatments
  • Moisturiser
  • SPF

To achieve the porcelain skin that Koreans are envied for is to, choose products that contain a lot of vitamin C and also include a vitamin C-rich diet.

Simple skin care routine night – serum inspiration

Here is a great video of The ordinary serums, which are cruelty-free and vegan, that you can add to your skincare night routine.

source: 5 Best serums From The Ordinary

What are the 3 most important skin care products?

For the day time I believe the the three most important skin care products are

  1. face wash
  2. cleanser
  3. a moisturiser with an SPF

For night time I believe the three important skin care products are:

  1. Face wash with an exfoliator
  2. cleanser
  3. moisturiser

overall I think face wash, cleansing and moisturising are very important.

What are the 4 basics of daily facial care?

If you want to keep your routine more simple than five steps, then I recommend the following:

  • Face wash with exfoliator
  • cleanser
  • toner
  • moisturiser

What are the 7 steps of skincare?

If nine steps are too long, but you also want to go further than what are the 5 basic of skin care, then I recommend the following steps:

  1. Face wash with an exfoliator
  2. Water cleanser
  3. Oil cleanser
  4. Toner
  5. Eye cream
  6. a moisturiser with an SPF
  7. Serum

Conclusion What are the 5 basic of skin care?

We now know everything we need to know about: What are the 5 basic of skin care? We can keep it simple at a 5-step routine, or we can create the perfect nine-step routine; I even shared with you my nine-step routine and what are my favourite products to use. You don’t have to go all out for your skin care routine and you can just use the 3 most important skin care products instead.

We briefly touched upon the Korean skincare routine and how to achieve their clear skin. But I hope you now know what are the 5 basic of skin care.

The very best cruelty free moisturiser uk | 2023

cruelty free moisturiser
cruelty free moisturiser uk

The beauty industry has been famous for testing on animals and not having a clean cruelty free reputation. This is when vegans came in and put our foots down and put an end to this animal cruelty. We made a change to the beauty industry and demanded products like moisturisers to be cruelty free. So this post is going to break down what is the best cruelty free moisturiser uk?

We are going to look for a moisturiser that contains natural organic ingredients. We won’t just look at a vegan moisturizer for face we will look at body moisturisers as well. I will also talk about the ones I use and recommend after three years of experimenting with cruelty free moisturiser uk.

I would like to discuss what ingredients to look out for when shopping for a cruelty free moisturiser uk.

My recommendations

cruelty free moisturiser uk
cruelty free moisturiser uk

A great cruelty free moisturiser that I recommend is Hydrossential which you can purchase from their website here. The moisturiser is completely natural and vegan. The moisturiser contains:

“…Japanese Witch Hazel, Aloe Barbadensis, Jojoba Oil, Gotu Kola, Camelia Sinensis and more.”

It’s great for anti-aging, scar and acne. Very natural ingredients so no nasty business which is what we like here at writevegan.

The UK brand I use daily
Moisturiser
Serum moisturiser

The brand that I use on a daily basis is Vitaskin. Vitaskin is completely vegan and cruelty free and is one of the best skincare range I have tried. However it is a bit on the pricy side but you don’t need to use a lot of the product so it will last you months at a time. You can check out vitaskin at Holland and Barrett. In my personal opinion Vitaskin is the best cruelty-free skincare brands uk.

The moisturiser I use from Vitaskin is the SPF vitamin A moisturiser. It is so moisturising and is a great sun protecter. I will never switch to any other skincare range as it does everything that I want it to do. This moisturiser is the best vegan moisturiser with spf uk and for me is the best vegan face moisturiser uk.

What does retinal do for your face?
cruelty free moisturiser uk

The brand contains Retinal and vitamin C which has so many benefits for your face. “Retinol increases skin cell production (proliferation). It helps unclog pores. Retinol also exfoliates your skin and increases collagen production, which can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, giving your skin a fresher, plump appearance.” (Cleveland Clinic, 2023)

This is why I personally believe that this is the best moisturiser as it has so much goodness in just one product and in my opinion it is the best cruelty free moisturiser uk. I love the entire Vitaskin range but I will save that for another post so I won’t bore you with the details.

Best cruelty-free anti aging cream uk

Moisturiser uk
moisturiser

I don’t personally use anti ageing moisturisers as I am in my 20s. So for this one I had do do a little research. So here is some suggestions for cruelty free anti ageing moisturisers:

Anti-ageing moisturisers that are vegan, cruelty-free and under £40

anti ageing moisturiser
Anti ageing cream
  • Versed Skin Soak Rich Moisture Cream. …
  • Typology Firming Moisturiser. …
  • Balance Me Intensive Wrinkle Repair Cream. …
  • Evolve Beauty Multi Peptide 360 Moisture Cream. …
  • Green People Age Defy + Brightening Moisturiser.

You can learn more about these moisturisers here. I checked out the website myself and these are also vegan anti aging cream uk. I also recommend using collaging boosting serums, the only one I am aware of is with Vitaskin. But I’m sure there are lots of amazing vegan and cruelty free collagen boosting serums available, perhaps that’s a topic for another blog.

Is Cetaphil or CeraVe cruelty-free?

cruelty free moisturiser uk
Serum

Unfortunately neither of these brands are cruelty free and they are also not vegan. I would suggest to avoid buying these items if you would like to live a cruelty free and vegan lifestyle.

Conclusion

Don’t just take my word for it

If you read through this blog post and you still feel skeptical or unsure of where to start and what cruelty free moisturisers uk you should try first after reading about my suggestions or any information that I have shared then please watch this video:

The best cruelty free & Vegan skin Care Brands

This video shares way more cruelty free skin care brands than I have experimented with so you have more options to figure out what your favourite cruelty free moisturiser uk is. As this is made in America some of the brands may not be available here in the uk but I’m sure you can buy them of amazon.

To conclude I think the best moisturiser I have discovered is vitaskin because it’s so natural and it also has an SPF which is so important to protect you from the sun. You should apply SPF even in the winter when the sun isn’t out much day light can still cause harm to the skin as well as blue light from technology.

I hope you take from this post the inspiration to dive deep into research on your favourite moisturiser ingredients and explore whether the brand is cruelty free or not. You’ll be able to answer the questions: What moisturisers are cruelty-free?, Is Cetaphil or CeraVe cruelty-free?, Which facial moisturizers are cruelty-free? And Does No7 test on animals? You now know how to get your hands on the best cruelty-free moisturiser. I hope if you are currently using a non cruelty free moisturiser, you will now change to a cruelty free moisturiser uk from this blog post or you discover a more niche moisturiser from your own research.

I also want to add a side note that I am completely passionate about what I write in these posts and I enjoy researching and discovering new products and information that I never heard about before. For example, when I discovered the Pythagoras quote I was blown away as I never knew that such inspirational people that we look up to are vegan. Every product that I mention in these posts that I promote positively are always something that I have tried or I trust. I would never promote anything I dislike or have no interest in or if I’ve learnt they are no good to you.

I hope I pass on the joy of learning about healthy vegan products and trying new things to you.

Don’t forget to check out the Hydrossential as it is anti ageing and helps with acne so it is suitable for all ages. The link is above.

Vegan? or Meat?

vegan shoe brands uk

Vegan shoe brands UK that you will love | 2023

Vegan shoe brands uk

We all know about well-known shoe brands like Clarks and hush puppies. However, can you name any vegan shoe brands UK? We want to learn about what retailers offer veganfriendly shoes? Or even veganfriendly shoes and boots.

Our questions are:

  • What are vegan shoe brands UK made from?
  • Are vegan shoe brands’ material better than non-vegan shoe brands?
  • What shoe brands are vegan?
  • what vegan brands do I use?

I would also like to link you to amazon vegan shoe brands UK that I recommend, which you can check out here. The page is full of different vegan shoe brands from men’s, women’s and kids’ for all different occasions.

If you love vegan shoe brands, then you will also love vegan bags; I have a great blog post all about vegan bags, which you can check out here.

What are vegan shoe brands UK made from?

vegan shoe brands uk
shoes

Shoes that are labelled vegan are made from all kinds of materials. When shoes are labelled vegan it means they do not contain any materials that are from animals. Vegan shoe brands can use materials such as:

  • Synthetic microfibres
  • PU and EVA
  • Recycled and virgin rubbers
  • Canvas
  • fabrics and faux-leather
  • Corn leather
  • fruit leather

Even though these materials are vegan some of them are not biodegradable, which can be harmful to the environment.

Are vegan shoe brands UK materials better than non-vegan shoe brands?

shoes

The short answer is yes. Vegan shoe brands UK are better; they’re better for you and the environment.

Also, vegan shoe materials don’t have to be expensive and they are less hassle to make:

People often that vegan footwear”…will be expensive, but they can sometimes be more affordable than leather boots or sneakers. That’s because leather relies on a long and expensive farming enterprise, followed by an intensive tanning process. Meanwhile, vegan leather is quicker and cheaper to create. The cost savings are passed along to the retail price…” (Baggs .D, 2022)

Normal leather you need to wear them in for them to be comfortable. You don’t need to do that with vegan footwear. Overall vegan materials are durable and waterproof. However faux-leather is more likely to scuff and break badly over time so I recommend going for a more natural material like cork, it’s more comfortable.

Biodegradable materials for vegan shoe brands UK

vegan shoe brands uk

I recommend shopping from Vegan style as they have a wonderful range of vegan footwear, and they care about the environment. They use a great “waste management system that collects, recycles and reuses and 500 tonnes of material per year!”. They use microfibre just like listed above.

I love that they focus and care about making their shoes biodegradable by making sure the materials they use are as natural as possible.

“According to the Sustainable Apparel Coalition, cow skin leather is the third most environmentally harmful material to produce after silk and alpaca wool. ” (Baggs .D, 2022)

just remember to try and avoid buying faux-leather shoes as faux leather takes about five hundred years to decompose so it’s not biodegradable and isn’t that great for the environment.

Let’s try and keep it as natural as we can and recyclable.

What shoe brands are vegan?

vegan shoe brands uk
vegan shoe brands uk

Is Nike a vegan company? Unfortuantely no they do tend to use animal leather. So are any popular shoe brands vegan? Yes, Puma has turned vegan after they launched their first vegan football boot and they have announced that they will continue to use animal-free materials from then on, which is fantastic news.

From doing my research I have discovered a lot of individual vegan footwear brand questions that I am going to dive deep and answer these questions here.

Is Adidas vegan and cruelty-free? I can’t confirm that all of their products are 100% vegan and cruelty-free, however, they do have a great range of vegan brand shoes such as Stella Mccartney. I will leave a link to that page here.

Are Zara boots vegan? Unfortuantely not as Zara tends to use wool and cow leather. However they are trying to be more vegan frindly and cruelty-free for the future which you can read about here.

One of my favourite brands to shop from is Killstar as they are a vegan and cruelty-free brand. They do sell faux-leather material products but I do tend to avoid those.

What shoes can vegans wear? Vegans can wear any type of shoe they want you just need to read the labels on the shoe to see if it’s made from non animal materials.

What are the best vegan boots uk?

Footwear

Vegan food living have rated Dr. Martens Unisex’s Vegan 1460 Classic Boots, 3 UK US Men their number one best vegan boot. They are durable as they are made out of synthetic leather. However because they are made out of a non-biodegradble material I would sugget number six on the vegan food living list as the Blowfish Malibu Women’s Roben Chelsea Boot as it’s made out of recycleble material  algae-based material called BLOOM Foam.

The best m&s vegan shoes

vegan shoe brands uk

Unfortunatlly when I went onto the M&S website they only had two pairs of shoes in their vegan section which is quite disapointing and they’re not even in my style.

Hopefully in the future when I revisit their vegan shoe section their will be a whole range of vegan footwear, or they can do one better and make all their shoes vegan-friendly.

If you are familiar with Clarks and don’t want to change brands as you like what you are familiar with then check ot Clarks vegan shoes uk here

Conclusion

So to conclude. We have learnt a lot about vegan shoe brands uk. We have discoved that a lot of brands do have vegan footwear or a section of vegan footwear. We have leant about the materials that vegan shoe brands uk use and what are the most biodegradable and the best materials for recycling. You have learnt that I like to shop from killstar for my vegan footwear. (I like to dress in quite gothic/alternative clothing). Pythagoras’ vegan quote and why we love it | 2023

Pythagoras vegan quote
Pythagoras vegan quote

Have you ever heard of the Pythagoras vegan quote?

“As long as man continues to be the ruthless destroyer of lower living beings, he will never know health or peace. For as long as men massacre animals, they will kill each other. Indeed, he who sows the seed of murder and pain can not reap love and joy.” (Pythagoras)

I couldn’t have put it better myself. If you like this quote, then click here to get the poster for it.

Here we will learn all about the origins of veganism, who else other than Pythagoras is vegan, and who has he inspired to be vegan. We will also discover which society first used the term vegetarian

The Pythagoras vegan quote and what does it mean?

Pythagoras believed that humans could become animals at death and vice versa. Pythagoras believed killing and eating animals sullied the soul and prevented union with a higher form of reality. He believed eating meat was unhealthy for humans and that slaughtering animals encouraged war.

What are your thoughts on the quote? Leave a comment below.

Was Socrates vegetarian?

Yes, Socrates was vegetarian.

“If we pursue our habit of eating animals, and if our neighbor follows a similar path, will we not have need to go to war against our neighbor to secure greater pasturage, because ours will not be enough to sustain us, and our neighbor will have a similar need to wage war on us for the same reason?” (Socrates)

From this quote, Socrates believes the same as Pythagoras, that humans eating meat will cause war.

Was Plato vegetarian

Yes, Plato was also vegan and was also inspired by Pythagoras. Plato was one of the earliest vegans. He also encouraged people around him not to slaughter animals.

As Pythagoras has inspired these legends, then maybe it’s time to have a Pythagoras vegetarian quote wall clock to decorate your house and celebrate veganism origins.

Pythagoras beans

Pythagoras had a strange relationship with the Fava bean. He believed that the fava bean would cause you to gain gas, and he believed that expelling gas took away the “breath of life”. He also believed that fava beans contained the souls of the deceased.

Does this strange information about Pythagoras prevent you from supporting veganism and Pythagoras’ vegan quote?

Originally, vegetarianism was refused as Pythagorean, this was changed in 1847 in Ramsgate, England, they changed it to vegetarianism.

Conclusion

Well, now you know the meaning behind pyhthagoras’s vegan quote is not to eat meat as it can encourage conflict with humans. I encourage you to check out more of pythagoras quotes and explore the origins of veganism. Maybe you’ll discover who was the first vegan and dive into a rabbit hole of the hidden history of veganism. Don’t forget to purchase your Pythagoras vegan quote from amazon.

What is vegan leather bags? Vegan leather is a material that is not made from animals. Meaning it’s sustainable and good for the environment. What is vegan leather made from? These materials can be:

  • polyurethane
  • polymer
  • pineapple leaves
  • cork
  • apple peels
  • other fruit waste
  • recycled plastic
  • Tree bark leather
  • cacti

These materials are used instead of animal skin to create vegan handbags. Proving we don’t need to kill animals in order to have fashion.

Where can I buy Vegan Leather Bags?

What is vegan leather bags?
what is vegan leather bags?

I recommend buying a decent vegan leather bag from amazon. Here is a link to a great vegan leather bag page. Is vegan leather expensive? They don’t have to be super expensive; many of the bags on amazon are affordable. They range from £9.99 – £129, depending on how much you are willing to spend.

There is a huge range for men and women, from laptop cases to handbags, to shoulder bags. There is no excuse not to change.

Is vegan leather biodegradable?

what is vegan leather bags?
what is vegan leather bags?

What is vegan leather bags? As vegan leather is made from non-animal products, it can be biodegradable. However, it depends on what material is used. If it’s made from cacti, then yes, it is completely biodegradable, but if the bag is made from faux leather, then it can take up to five hundred years.

So when shopping for your new vegan leather bag, I recommend aiming for a bag made from a biodegradable material.

Is vegan leather durable? What is vegan leather bags?

what is vegan leather bags?
handbag

As an owner of vegan bags, I can vouch that the vegan leather bag is durable. I bought my vegan leather bag back in 2019, and it hasn’t cracked, it doesn’t look worn, and it holds a lot of things.

I bought mine from New Look with some birthday money. I was impressed with the range of vegan leather bags available at New Look.

I use this bag as an everyday handbag, and it’s still going strong. I reckon I could get a few more years out of it.

So, how long does vegan leather last? From my experience, a decent few years, a minimum of four years.

Is vegan leather waterproof? My answer is yes. I have taken my vegan handbag outside in all weather rain and snow wipes straight off without dampening and ruining the bag and contents.

Does vegan leather peel? No vegan leather does not peel, just like real leather. What is vegan leather bags? Vegan leather is good quality. You can take my word for it. No animals need to be harmed when making a handbag; there is no need.

Another good brand of vegan bags to check out are Stella McCartney’s range. I haven’t personally checked out her bag range, but I have tried her vegan food products, which were great for an occasional treat, but they’re too processed for a consistent healthy vegan diet.

Another designer is Susie Faulks. Her style is more textile based created by her. If you’re into more of a pastel look, then Susie Faulks is a good one to check out.

Vegan leather bags recommendation

If my review of vegan leather bags still hasn’t persuaded you to swap your animal leather bag for a natural plant-based bag, please watch Vegan Leather Bags Review! Designer Inspired & Sustainable Fashion on a Budget, as she has a great review of a wide range of designer vegan leather bags.

Vegan leather vs real leather?

what is vegan leather?
Vegan Leather bags

In my opinion, vegan leather is similar to real leather because it functions the same, and it doesn’t make a difference in how the item performs. However, vegan leather has so much more benefits compared to real leather. The benefits are:

  • Odourless – vegan leather doesn’t smell at all, unlike genuine leather
  • can be biodegradable
  • cruelty-free
  • doesn’t break the bank
  • sustainable

So overall, you are better off investing in a vegan bag than a genuine leather bag because of these wonderful reasons.

What is vegan leather bags? Why stop at bags?

It is so important to swap what you can with vegan and eco-friendly items. So you shouldn’t just stop at bags. Buy vegan leather furniture. Invest in vegan leather purses. This way, you are doing your part to help animals, and the environment as making vegan products uses fewer emissions.

Slaughtering animals to create our favourite products causes so much waste that is harmful to the environment and will increase global warming. This will cause more natural disasters to occur more often, which will cause devastation all over the planet, where humans and animals will die unnecessarily when it can be avoided based on our purchasing decisions.

If you are going to take something from this post, then please let it be the thought process of where you put your money.

Conclusion

What is vegan leather bags? We have learned what vegan leather is made out of. We have discovered that vegan leather is durable in all weather and can last as long as an animal leather bag. You now know that not all vegan leather is biodegradable. You do need to research what bags are biodegradable before you make your purchase. Please aim for a bag that uses biodegradable materials.

We also know that vegan leather bags are affordable, and you can purchase them from trusted websites such as Amazon. There is a link to the page above.

After comparing vegan leather to genuine leather, we have learnt that vegan leather comes out on top. This is because using genuine cow leather bags harms animals and the environment.

Taking the step to invest in vegan leather products is another step toward sustaining a healthy vegan and eco-friendly lifestyle which is what writevegan’s goal is.

Mary Berry vegetarian dinner party

I recommend Mary Berry’s butternut squash soup which we can make a vegan version of. In this recipe, you can swap the butter for vegan butter and make sure you use vegetable stock, not chicken stock. The ingredients are listed below:

  • “3 small butternut squash, about 1.6kg (3 ½ lb) total weight
  • about 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • freshly grated nutmeg
  • 25g (1oz) vegan butter
  • 1 large onion, roughly chopped
  • 2 large carrots, roughly chopped
  • 2 large sticks celery, sliced
  • 2.5cm (1 inch) root ginger, grated
  • 1.1-1.3 litres (2-2 ¼ pints) vegetable
  • sprig of fresh rosemary or 1 teaspoon dried rosemary” (Mary Berry, 2023)

I have tweaked the ingredients to make it completely vegan. You can find the method on their website linked above.

It doesn’t have to be just Mary Berry’s recipes. You can lose weight with The Vegan Body Builder diet.

why is plant based better than meat? 2023.

Why is plant based diet better than meat? 2023.

Why is plant based diet better than meat? Are you here to learn about the facts as to why being vegan is so much better than being a meat eater? In this post, we will dive deep into plant-based diet vs meat studies.

Being vegan isn’t a fashion trend. There are huge benefits to your health and well-being just by turning plant-based. In this post, I could give you 10 reasons not to eat meat.

Why is plant based better than meat? Weight loss.

why is plant based diet better than meat? weight loss
Why is plant based diet better than meat? weight loss

A great reason why is plant based better than meat? It is weight loss. I recommend starting with a smoothie diet like The Smoothie Detox Challenge: It is a great way to know what to eat when not eating meat. If you’ve struggled to get rid of that trapped fat, then a smoothie detox will help solve that for you.

If you’ve struggled to lose weight and keep it off, then you may have toxins in your body that are trapped in your fat cells.

These trapped toxins not only cause unsightly “trapped fat pockets” around your body, but they also cause inflammation and interfere with the functioning of important hormones that regulate hunger, blood sugar, and metabolism.

If you don’t take any action to help cleanse your body of these toxins, it can be extremely difficult and slow to lose weight and get healthy, despite diet and exercise.

To lose weight safely and permanently, you must reduce your toxin load and improve your body’s detoxification capacity at the same time so it can properly process the released toxins.

You can change this by doing The Smoothie Detox challenge. You can visit their page here.

The Smoothie detox challenge will provide you with a smoothie meal plan to keep you on track to reach your personalised goal.

Plant-based diet vs meat environmental impact – Why is plant based diet better than meat?

The world right now needs all the help it can get from us to reduce global warming. Being vegan will help reduce the impact of global warming. This is one strong reason Why is plant based diet better than meat?

“What we eat is one of the biggest contributors to our individual carbon footprint, and going vegan can ease our diet’s burden on the planet. In fact, a study from Oxford University identified going vegan as the “single biggest way” we can reduce our carbon footprint, shrinking it up to 73%” (THL, 2021)

Slaughtering animals causes so much waste and greenhouse gas emissions. While being vegan doesn’t cause waste, and it’s sustainable.

Meat vs vegetables nutrition – why is plant based diet better than meat?

Why is plant based diet better than meat? The most frustrating thing I find when researching veganism is that people really believe we need meat for iron and protein. We do not. As a long-term vegan, I have had people ask me: Where do you get your iron from? Well, many people don’t know there is iron in plants. Spinach is very rich in iron, for example.

“Once you have a sufficient amount of iron in your blood, your body is about five times more effective at blocking the absorption of excess iron from plant foods than from animal foods. This may be why heme iron is associated with cancer and heart disease risk. Similarly, heme iron is associated with higher risk of diabetes, but nonheme iron is not” (Greger .M, 2015)

Why would you want to eat something that contains cancer-causing iron? That answers your question: why is plant based diet better than meat?

You can get your protein from chickpeas, tofu and peanut butter; I could go on. I guarantee you will also feel fuller for longer after eating a decent and nutritious plant-based meal. Meat vs vegetables energy consumption: meat will make you feel bloated, sluggish and tired but when you consume plant-based foods, your energy is sustainable and you can workout for much longer as your stamina increases.

Vegetarians are healthier than meat eaters fact or opinion?

If veganism isn’t right for you, you can start with vegetarianism. Vegetarians eat dairy products but no meat but they are still healthier than meat eaters. This is because they aren’t consuming all the harmful fats and heme iron that meat consists of.

Vegetarians are less healthier than vegans but are healthier than omnivores. All the more reason: why is plant based diet better than meat? Benefits of plantbased.

Conclusion.

Now you know: why is plant based diet better than meat? We learnt that being vegan can make you lose weight and how veganism can help the environment. We now understand how meat harms our bodies, and as a vegan, you don’t miss out on your iron and protein. There are so many benefits of not eating meat.

We have also learnt that you don’t have to go cold tofu and go completely vegan to start with, as we’ve learnt vegetarians are also healthier than meat eaters.

What are the negatives of a plant-based diet? Your body will need to adjust to being vegan so you will feel tired when you first start, but just keep up the large portion of leafy greens and having a handful of nuts a day will help with the tiredness.

Is a plant-based diet the healthiest? Yes, it is. So, you now understand why is plant based diet better than meat? I hope you won’t take a skeptical look at popular diets like the vegan diet and understand why is a plant based diet better than meat?

is makeup forever vegan?

Is makeup forever vegan? 5 reasons why makeup forever isn’t vegan.

Is makeup forever vegan?

Is makeup forever vegan? The short answer is no. But here at writevegan we want to dive into what makes the brand not vegan. What are great alternatives to makeup forever vegan brands to stick to our wonderful vegan lifestyle? We want to know why makeup forever has decided not to be a vegan brand.

In this post, we are going to be answering the question:

  • is makeup forever a clean brand
  • is makeup forever cruelty-free
  • is makeup forever a good brand
  • Is vegan makeup really vegan?
  • Does makeup forever still test on animals?
  • Is makeup forever vegan? The 10 reasons why makeup forever isn’t vegan
  • Vegan makeup that I use/ recommend

Is make-up forever a good clean brand?

Unfortunately, the answer to that question is no. A clean makeup brand means that non of the chemicals used in the products are not harmful to humans, animals and the environment. Makeup forever does use harsh synthetic chemicals. However, they don’t use ‘forever chemicals’, which harm humans.

Is makeup forever vegan? Using harsh chemicals doesn’t necessarily mean it’s not vegan, but we will answer this question later.

Is makeup forever a cruelty-free brand?

is makeup forever vegan? cruelty-free

Makeup forever is not cruelty-free because “Make Up For Ever is not cruelty-free. They may test on animals, either themselves, through their suppliers, or a third party” (2014-2022 Cruelty-Free Kitty) This is not great news for the vegan community. We shouldn’t support brands that test their products on animals as this is animal cruelty.

In makeup forever’s case, they have third-party testing in china. Please avoid brands like makeup forever if you are passionate about living a vegan lifestyle like ours. Animal testing isn’t good for animals or the environment.

Is make-up forever a good brand to buy?

Overall, makeup forever is a high-quality brand; it is “considered a professional’s favorite when it comes to high-quality cosmetics” (Diego .S, 2021) The brand is very successful and has a huge range of makeup. The brand isn’t cheap, however, as their foundation is $43.

I will argue the cheaper the foundation, the worse the product; that is from my personal experience of trying cheaper foundations, as I’ve experienced that they have no coverage whatsoever.

Is vegan makeup really vegan?

What is vegan makeup? Vegan makeup means that none of the ingredients is involved with animals whatsoever.

Many people believe vegan cosmetics are 100% natural, which is not the case. Make sure to check the ingredients in makeup products and research whether these ingredients contain animal ingredients.

Is makeup forever vegan? No, as their products do contain animal-derived ingredients.

Does makeup forever still test on animals?

Unfortunately, yes, makeup forever still does tests on animals. It’s disappointing that this has not been changed, it’s third-party testing. If you are a passionate vegan wanting to live a cruelty-free vegan lifestyle, then please invest your money in cruelty-free brands; my advice is to do your research.

Is makeup forever vegan? 5 reasons why it isn’t vegan.

As you have learnt from above. The brand isn’t vegan and is not cruelty-free. Here are the 5 reasons why.

  • Makeup forever uses non-vegan ingredients.
  • They use beeswax in their foundation
  • They use ingredients from fish
  • non-natural
  • non-organic

Vegan makeup brands that I use/recommend.

My vegan makeup
my vegan makeup

As a huge makeup lover, I have experimented with many different makeup brands until I found the best brands to suit me.

Most of my makeup is Kat Von D, as it’s the best quality vegan makeup I have ever tried. My other personal favourite is some of Barry M’s cosmetics. I only use their liquid eyeliner and setting powder, but I avoid the setting powder that contains talc. I tend to use the banana setting powder.

Kat von D is very pricy. However, it lasts for such a long time, so I only spend my money on the brand about every six months. This is because the foundation, I use only one pump per application as the coverage is really good, so you don’t need to use a lot.

Nano towel makeup removal.

If you are looking for a vegan makeup remover then click here: NanoTowels Makeup Remover. Many customers have enjoyed the easy to use makeup remover as I personally think this product is a good idea as you don’t need to throw away any makeup remover wipes. All you need is water. The towel lightly exfoliates and moisterises as it removes your makeup.

One happy customer says:

“No longer need to use moisturizer or fancy cleansers. This towel leaves my skin soft and clean feeling. My skin regimen is so much easier now that I just need to use this towel.”

JISHA JOSE

There is a 30% discount on right now. If you’re reading this some time in the future the discount offer may not be available anymore.

Conclusion

So is makeup forever vegan? We have learnt that the brand uses non-vegan ingredients, it isn’t cruelty-free, and they have not gone out of their way to change this. If you enjoyed, Is makeup forever vegan? 5 reasons why it isn’t vegan. then you should learn about the vegan diet; check out my other posts here:
